First all the customer support is phenomenal. They email you to make sure you’re getting the proper camera for your vehicle. And they will give you instructions if you’re having issues. I contemplated returning this unit based on how difficult it was. But just be patient, watch YouTube vidoes. Or have a professional install it. They were going to charge me 150$ so decided to tackle it myself. I got the front and rear for my Mk8 golf r. Took me about 2.5 hours. It looks great and no wires hanging.

Wow, just wow. Received the camera, everything was looking great. Went to install and when I clipped it in, it blew fuse 44… so I had to steal the gf’s car to drive to autozone and grab new fuses… that was only the tip of the iceberg, once I got the new fuse in it just kept flashing and I could not connect to the app, just started heating up. Low and behold I thought clipping it in fully would fix it… it did not, in the process of clipping it in, it bent the clips in the OE VW shroud trim piece and caused all the trim pieces up there to sit loose. Had to pry it back apart and be disappointed I even installed it. Be warned, not sure what happened with my unit but it caused a bunch of issues that I now have to fix. Ordering a new trim piece and purchasing the new fuses… oh, and my time wasted

This a great option if you want a dash cam that doesn't stand out. In fact, it fits so well into the MK.8 rearview mirror housing that it looks OEM. The quality of the camera is good. The camera requires an app to access your footage and change settings, and the app requires you to connect to the camera's wifi, which can be a bit finicky. It's not perfect, but it works.The main reasons I don't give 5 stars instead of 4 is that the instructional video could be clearer (and slower) so you have a better idea of how to install. Also - this may be specific to the Mk. 8 Golf - installation of the rear facing camera requires extensive trim removal, some of which may cause damage if not done correctly. For this reason I am waiting to get the rear camera professionally installed, and would recommend others to do the same.Ultimately I am happy with this camera so far for it's great fit, relative ease of install (front camera) and good functionality.

Great product, easy install. Slightly larger than OEM but difficult to tell without side-by-side comparison. Video quality is great. Have only installed front camera so far, will update once I install the rear camera.Note: you will probably need to trim the body pieces (see sticker in photo). We used some sharp snips that we had for our 3D printing projects - really easy. For my model we only had to trim one segment.

This dash cam was a complete waste of time, money, and effort to get it installed correctly. I should have read the fine print and realized that it doesn’t have GPS. If you’re in the market for a dash cam, and you want it to have GPS, please stay away from this one.

I usually dont write review unless the item passed my expectation.Even my installation guy said this is the best clean look dash camera he ever installed.It fits MK8 Golf R very well, looks like an OEM product.Also you cannot visibly see the rear camera cables; very clean look.If you have wireless carplay, make sure you disconnect it before connecting to the dash camera.5.5/5 would recommend.
