Pleasant mild flavour
Nice mild and pleasant flavour. Very similar to a pricier oolong I got as a gift, I didn't really notice any difference in quality between the two. Tie guan yin is probably one of my favourite teas, and this one is fairly good value for money. The taste is very subtle compared to the usual tea bags you get in the UK, so if that's what you're expecting it'll be quite watery in comparison. I wouldn't recommend this if you prefer tea that has a more "in your face" type of flavour.

An excellent brew...
I wasn't quite sure what this tea was going to be like but very glad I took the leap of faith and tried it.The resealable packet keeps the tea fresh and a teaspoonful is good for a mug full. It's very refreshing and leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth afterwards with no bitterness. Will definitely be buying more...

Pleasant, but flavour not as strong as I like.
I started drinking Tie Guan Yin on business trips to China in the early 2000's, for its flavour and to keep me awake when tired from a lot of travel. I can not always find it in the UK and bought this from Amazon when my stocks ran out. This version is pleasant, but not does not have such a strong flavour.

Very interesting and novel green tea
Ignore the reviews about this tasting of hot water. It will taste of hot water if your used to strong English tea with lots of milk and sugar or coffee. If you're used to the delicate flavours of green teas then this one is worth a punt. It has a distinct floral/orchid flavour to it that you'll either love or hate. Evenstill, it is very different to Dragon Well or Japanese green teas in terms of flavour profile. If you're experimenting with green teas and want to try something new I'd highly recommend this.

A Really Good Tea
Love this tea. This particular brand is excellent and has a nice refreshing taste. You need only use half a teaspoon, depending on the size of cup, because the leaves open up to a much larger size.No need for steeping baskets or other infusion gadgets as the leaves will eventually drop to the bottom of the cup after opening up.It will not go bitter after sitting in the cup for a while. Overall a good tea which I would be happy to buy again.

not drinkable
I was really looking forward for the delivery... Delivered today... (oolong tea, tie guan iron goddess of mercy from Tealyra).Made the first cup, desided first, as always, to enjoy the wonderful aroma. The smell took me aback: it was literally fishy! Being brave person, I sipped it just to make sure and the state of shock nit me anew, and I am not exaggerating! The taste of the tea was matching its smell - just fishy!I previously enjoyed Twinings Tea Deli Oolong high mountain tea, and it was delicious in all respects, but unfortunately it discontinued. Also the guan yin tea was delivered to me directly from China, but no more...I ordered today, (Sun 24 Mar), GOARTEA 10Pcs 8g Nonpareil Supreme Tieguanyin Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea - Iron Goddess Fujian Anxi High Mountain Chinese Oolong Tea - 8g of their loose tea is individually vacuum packed into the small foil envelopes (10x8g), similar to the tea that I used to get directly from China. It is expensive, but I hope the price is justified by its quality.

Tea with taste
Last year I had a packet of loose leaf tea direct from China. Once this packet was finished I tried many variations of Chinese loose leaf tea that are available in the UK but found none to my taste. This Oolong loose leaf was my last sample to try. Great, it is very close to my original leaf direct from China. A pleasant tea with a subtle taste. highly recommended.Tie Guan Yin - Oolong Loose Tea - Excellent loose leaf tea.
