IKEALACK - Wall Shelf - White - 30 x 26 cm

You have to get the holes perfect. It’s not like a normal floating shelf. Plus it won’t hold much weight before dropping down. So be aware before installing

It worked. I actually didnt use any screws,drill any holes. I used command strip to attach it to my wall, in a corner. The shelf is flat, a tiny bit at the edge cracked.

Arrived damaged (see pics). No screws. No template you have to measure 225mm but not to worry so long as you are less than 1mm off it is OK. Then you have to play with screw head depth to get to catch yet also flush with wall.A dreadful product - read other reviews and take seriously like I should have done.

I assumed other reviews saying there were no screws supplied were just bad luck - after all, at least two questions answered by the supplier said there were. Well, there were no screws supplied. Or details of what screws were needed to fit the brackets, in terms of diameter, head type or projection from the wall.There's no bracket, or way of tightening the shelf to the wall once the screw heads are engaged, and all that stops it sagging are the flimsy, thin hardboard edges of top and bottom shelf surfaces.The supplier says it will support 10-15kg, but I don't see how.

It arrived slightly damaged on 2 edges so we flipped it over to havethe good side on top. We then changed the fixing points round and found 2 of the (long) screws had sheared off just below the surface so we repositioned them. For the price it was ok and not worth the bother of getting a replacement as it was only going in the cloakroom but, never having had Ikea before, I was very disappointed in the quality and certainly won't be getting any more.

Good looking and strong. Made me want to build a Mario mural around it as it is just a block of wood floating on the wall.
