Q: Are these very thick? Easy to sew on?

I use one for the right knee of my work trousers. I use the prefabricated holes when sewing it on. The process is tedious but like anything needs to be done. I personally need to use nylon thread as opposed to ordinary because every now an the my stitching wears away due to constant kneeling. They are hardy and about a millimetre thick and flexible.

Q: Could this patch be glued to a vintage fur toy to cover a hole in its belly? Toy is a push along straw filled donkey dating from the early 1950s.

The patches are quite thick and ridged. I use them on my grandson's football leggings, he's a GK, and always on his knees! I think the patches may be too sturdy for a soft toy. I also have to stitch them on, glue wouldn't work. There are holes around the patches, otherwise it would be difficult to pass a needle through the leather.

Q: Are these patches suitable for drycleaning?

I do not feel competent to ask that question. Is leather dry cleaned?
