Really brilliant concept
This stuff is AWESOME. Makes paint stripping so much easier, less smelly and toxic. Quicker, easier and not as much mess and easier to clear up. What's to lose?No more nitomors burning your eyes out, or attempts to give yourself second degree burns with a heat gun.If you're thinking about it, go for it.I'm blonde, female, and have used it now on plaster, wood, and metal. It's brilliant stuff and I will not be looking back.Oh one comment - if you've a large area then get a couple of additional cover up sheets. Clingfilm is ok, but not quite as good. Plus make sure you cover it up well in the tub and keep the lid firmly sealed so it doesn't dry out. Then it stays good for ages.

Average
Both products work but do not strip all of the paint layers right back to the brick face which is disappointing.

Definitely worth a test!
Bought this because I've been trying (and failing) to get paint off the stairs in my new home. I've tried sanders and other paint strippers but so far they've done very little in the way of removing the paint.I used both tester pots on the paint I needed gone and left it for 12 hours. Varied success achieved:1 - got rid of it VERY well but is obviously more caustic and requires more aftercare. Square on the right in photo.7 - took it off nearly as well, should probably leave it on for more time or use a metal brush to really get it off. Square on the left in the photo. The paint on these stairs appears to be gloss or some sort of waxy glue type stuff, you could see it when prelim it off the stair, which is maybe why it was not budging with other types of stripper.Definitely investing in a big pot of 7 to give it a go!

PeelAway 7 did the job for me
I am trying to remove paint from the brickwork inside my porch and return it back to bare brick. The paint is white and reasonably thick, although I don't know how many layers. I had a pot of Nitromors in the garage and tested an area with that; the result was very poor and so I started looking for an alternative. I saw a video of a guy using PeelAway 7 on YouTube and it looked impressive. Sceptical, I went for this trial pack (which I think is a little overpriced) to see if either PeelAway 7 or Peelaway 1 would do the job. Delivery was fairly quick and I pasted a patch of each on my wall. You get one cover sheet (30 x 40cm) for each pot and I used roughly two thirds of each pot for this area size; it's easy to apply with the supplied spatula. I followed a tip from another reviewer by taping the edges of the sheet down but this was a mistake; the tape reacted with the paste, started to contract and pull away the sheet. I quickly removed the tape and just left the sheets stuck to the paste. After 48 hours, I removed the sheets and started scraping away at the paint.I started with the PeelAway 7 patch. The paint didn't lift with the sheet (like it did in the YouTube video!) but I could see that the paint had softened. I gave it a scrub with a wet, wire brush and without a whole lot of effort started to see the brickwork underneath. After about 10mins of scrubbing, I got a good result. Not perfect, but I don't think it will take much effort to get it right.Surprisingly, the PeelAway 1 did nothing at all. Perhaps it's down to the type of paint or maybe it needed longer then 48hrs but even trying to scrape the paste off was hard. So, I'll be buying 4kg of PeelAway 7.I've attached a photo of my wall. The bottom section is PeelAway 7 and the top is PeelAway 1. You can see I had a go at scraping the paint off from the P1 section but gave up. Where the wall turns at the bottom left of the picture, that's my attempt with Nitromors.

Don’t bother
Very disappointing product.Followed instructions exactly but really isn’t worth the money.

Worked very well
Easy to use, trial pack was sufficient to cover a reasonable sized area for testing

Unlike most modern paint removers, it actually removes paint ...
Unlike most modern paint removers, it actually removes paint! Follow the instructions exactly. So far only used Peelaway 1. Not needed Peelaway 7 so far.

Removed paint from rattan chair
I got these pots to try and remove horrible gloss paint from a rattan chair. My grandfather had painted it many years ago in a horrible gloss blue paint (to be fair he probably got the paint for free). Anyway I was reticent about stripping it but you couldn’t the weave. So I tried small patches on the back (3cm by 3cm) of pack 1 and 7 and decided to check it after only 60 mins. The pack 1 stripped it the rattan - mostly it peeled and then I washed it away with a garden hose. I left it to dry in the garden. The rattan is slightly dark - I am assuming it is darker than normal (but it was always a painted chair anyway). The detail is now revealed and when I’ve finished stripping it I’m going to repaint it in a Matt paint. It is vicious stuff so you do have to be really careful but it works!
