Great toy! Negative reviews are not true.
Our 2 year old son absolutely loves to play with this toy, and it makes bath time a truly great time for him (and his dad).There seem to be a lot of negative reviews on amazon, but I haven't experienced any problems. However, you'll need to push the boat underwater to fill the bottom part with water. If you don't do this the boat will not stay afloat and the canon won't work either. So maybe that's where other reviewers have gone wrong? (as it doesn't state this in any instructions.) If you use the canon, you may have to repeat the process to refill the boat with water in order to keep it afloat.As long as the boat is filled with water, it floats with no problems and our son loves squirting the water from the different canons! Lots of fun and good quality.

Perfect for 4 and under
Got one for my boy when he was maybe about 18 months and he still lives it age 4. It’s finally started to look a bit tired lately thanks to the limescale in our London water but it’s lasted really well and been much loved so don’t feel it owes me anything! Recently bought one as a gift as I know it will get played with.

My little boy loves this! The little octopus, when pressed down squirts water at you (or in any direction as it rotates), the little boat and pirate are cute and the cannon that fires water (once filled). It is bright and colourful, has plenty of interactive features for the little ones to enjoy and it pretty sturdily built.

Bathtime boat fun
Good boat for bath time. My 3 year old enjoys playing with it, the captain and little boat. The octopus and cannon sprays water but its not as powerful as id have thought but my little one enjoys it. The boat fills up with water

Not as much fun as advertised
Bought this for my little boy.The Octopus squirts fine and he loves putting the pirate in the crows nest BUT.... the cannon is rubbish. The only way we can get it to fire it to fill the end with water and then you get a piddly little squirt in return. Very disappointing.Also the boat fills with water quite quickly and then sinks!SO if you just boat to put a pirate in and out buy this one or find a cheaper one. If you want a working cannon, buy something else.
