This saffron is as good as any you'll find in the major UK supermarkets, and it's so cheap.It's a no brainier.

I first gave 3'stars but now that I cooked with it it fake. They turned yellow.

Only two star for good service. Saffron itself poor quality and don't get why so many good feedbacks. Smelt of tobacco. Contains more than just saffron. Not just red saffron strands but also lots of twirly yellow bits. Any ideas what this is as definately not part of the saffron strand. Also when I added ice cold water it bleeds out yellow. Superior saffron should not leach out in cold water. It should only infuse in tepid to warm water. I guess you get what you pay for and Will definately look at paying more and hopefully get better quality product.
