Good quality, good price.
My bike stops. It didn't before. What more do I need to say? QED.These are good quality brake pads for the price. I bought them to replace the aging (and possibly original) brake blocks on some 70s centre-pull brakes and they do the job very well. The pads themselves are good, they provide a nice braking surface and they feel far more powerful than the blocks they replaced. A particularly nice feature of these is that they feature the domed washer system first seen on mountain bikes that means you can get the pad surface exactly aligned with the wall of the wheel rim. This is particularly nice on older wheels which often do not have the flat and parallel braking surfaces of modern wheels.

Highly Recommended
Arriving at University to the resounding squeal of my old, worn brake pads had grown somewhat tiresome, and the grimaces of nearby students as they duck for shelter was becoming hard to ignore. I decided to purchase some shiny new pads, had a little look around and set my heart on these bad boys. They took a little time to arrive (eleven days), but the packaging was easy to get into and before long I was sitting next to my bicycle, omnitool in hand, ready to start the surgery. Within ten minutes I had the pads changed over and adjusted. The pads fit well, they stop the bike well, and they were pretty cheap. Not only that, they look a lot nicer than my old ones too. Two thumbs up from me.

Stop yourself before you brake something
There as ok and work fine and are easy to fit. They lost a star me as they aren't very hard wearing and I found I had to replacement sooner than I would of expected. They stop fine in all weathers and never left any nasty marks on my rims even with heavy breaking.I got around 2000 miles from a set before I had to replace and I replaced with a different make of harder compound that were more expensive. So if you are on a tight budget and don't do a massive mileage these will be ideal for you.Fitting was simple with the use of a common allen key size you we all have if you have a road bike !

How to fit them
I had recently bought my first road bike second hand and was aware that the brakes looked worn. After a few months of town riding I realised that I needed to change my brakes. The bike shops around here were very expensive to simply change some brakes and being a student I couldn't really afford to give them around £20-£30 just to change out some brake pads so I decided to tackle the problem myself. It took about an hour of learning to work out how to put these into calliper brakes (I was only used to V-Brakes). These brakes are excellent, they don't squeak or make any noise and they have good stopping distances even in the wet. They seem exceptionally well made and robust and they were surprisingly easy to fit and adjust, even though this was my first time to ever attempt anything like this. For those who are like me and have no clue how to change brakes here is the easiest way to actually do it:First you need to remove your old worn out brakes. On my road bike I simply turned this little hook thing and then using a 5m hex key, I loosened the nut holding the brake wire and that allowed me to get at the brakes. Then identify which brake pad is going on which way. If you face the bike from the front then the brake pad with the L on it needs to go on your right and the opposite for the other (the easiest way to imagine it is to sit on the bike because then your left brake pad goes on the left and the right brake pad on the right). After that you may use the washers that the brake pads come with. Its very important to keep an eye on the order of the washers cause that affects the adjustment of the washers (you may use them you may decide you don't need them. I kept them because it was easier to change the angle of the pads). Basically if you are going to use them the best thing to do is not mix up the order that they come in. The chances are though that they will fall on the ground and get mixed up. So if you unwind the screw take the last two washers on the end (that were nearest to the brake pad). They will be going on the side with the brake pads. There will be a very thin, bevelled edge one and a slightly bigger bevelled one. Those are what allow you to adjust the angle of the brake pad (the other washers won't matter what order they go on). So fit the screw into the mount with the other washers on the slip the bevelled washers on (the big one first followed by the thin one) and then the brake pad and screw in.Then simply tighten and adjust the angle so that they sit only on the rim and don't touch the tyre. Hope that helps.

No more squealing!
It took me a surprising amount of time to find a product that would fit my style of brakes. These are nice and simple. Great budget product offering decent stopping power. Took me only about 10 minutes to get these on front and back. Been out a few times since on distance rides and after some very brief initial brushy sounds they're now doing a very good, and quiet, job...even through all the wet and mud we get this time of year

Wore down very quickly
I commute daily through a city, 15mins each way. These wore down to the holder within 3 months of use, cheap and of course easy to install, but you're getting what you pay for.

You get what you pay for...
They're cheap for a reason. These lasted just 3 months (at around 50 miles a week), and not even in dirty riding conditions.

Fits easily works well.
Fits easily. Works well. Cycled to Matlock slowed me down going down steep hill. Doesn't make any noise whilst working.
