Did exactly what it said on the tin
No complaints, does exactly what you expect once you get it set up which is very simple. I had mine set up on an arch top and my partner used it on his Stratocaster, no problems at all for either of us and switching to another instrument is very quick.I now there are other things on the market now that do similar things but I will always have a soft spot for my Fishman. Particularly loved the piano sound. Recommended x

Software and web site problem
I can't seem to be able to log in everytime I have to change my password. I can't get hold of the native instruments because again its asking me for a password when am already signed in to triplay by Fisher so I have given up trying to download the software that should have come on a CD that way be easier then all this internet crap. If I don't get this working by tomorrow I am afraid I will have to return all this. Had to return in the end.

Left-handers, read before buying.
Please note that the rating reflects my personal experience with this product for the purpose I intended to use it. It works great as a midi pickup.I bought the Fishman Triple Play, solely for midi notation purposes, rather than for guitar-synth use. I am a left-handed player and after some pre-purchase research, found some very vague information from Fishman, confirming that the pickup CAN be installed on a left-handed guitar.Firstly, I wanted to pre-warn any left-handed players before they consider buying this pickup, that mounting it to any left-handed guitar is a compromise. Fishman provide little support for lefties, but I can’t imagine that a left-handed model would be cost effective for them to mass produce.I managed to find a workaround (see picture attached), but it’s not ideal and the controller is less than secure, since I was unable to use the mounts provided. It’s fine for home use, but feels flimsy and I wouldn’t want to gig with it mounted this way.I ended up mounting the pickup on my least-used, cheapest Strat. It looks like it can be mounted to a lefty Les Paul, but you have to use the additional bridge piece (included) and besides, I didn’t want a piece of plastic stuck to any expensive guitar that I use for gigs. The software installation took a while, but it comes bundled with some great programmes. I played around with various organ, synth and bass sounds and they were fun and great sounding, despite the guitar-synth thing not really being my thing.I experienced latency problems initially. Don't let this put you off. It's easily fixed if you play around with the sample rate and buffer settings. Also, you really should adjust individual levels for each string. The pickup tracks pretty accurately, but it’s not perfect, with occasional double triggers and midi artifacts. You may have to adjust your playing style in order to reduce overtones.I mentioned that I bought this unit for notation purposes…“Progression”, the included notation software takes some setting up and some time to get used to. Don't let its initial mis-tracking and notating the wrong positions put you off, like I did. I found that the software would initially take the liberty of notating a fretted E note on the 5th fret of the B string as an open E. Once you get it set up, it's very good. I may be wrong, but don't think Guitar Pro 6 lets you input midi in real time, like progression does. It certainly makes writing the timings of phrases a lot easier than in Guitar Pro, especially if you're not a great reader.Progression isn't perfect, however. You will need to greatly alter your playing style when inputting information. It's best to avoid bends and slides and input them later, using the intuitive interface. This means re-thinking your phrases and perhaps recording one bar at a time, but it's still a lot quicker than notating or tabbing by hand. Unlike Guitar Pro, Progression’s built in sounds are pretty harsh-sounding, but they’re good enough for reference. If you’re a right-handed guitarist, buying this as a midi controller, it more than does the job. However, if you’re a lefty, be aware of installation issues. All in all, after some initial frustration, this is a very good midi pickup.

Wish I could have given this 0 stars
I returned my you rock midi guitar for this because I was getting the occasional double trigger (two notes playing when you only picked it once) and heres my opinion...its useless, overpriced and gives you double triggers on almost every note (because your guitar cannot even a be touch outta tune and guitars have a tendancy to detune themselves overtime) so now im returning this and re-buying the you rock guitar which is £125 less (if you include delivery that is)

everything I was hoping for and more.
I use this product with the triple play software and kontakt. It works as well as I was hoping and am very pleased with playability. Please note the midi pickup would not fit my 2017 elite Stratocaster. But it fitted fine and easyerly to my 1996 Mexican strat. I would recommend this product if you want to play piano or any other instrument using you guitar.

This is great fun, easily fitted to strat style solidbody
This is great fun, easily fitted to strat style solidbody. I'm pretty clumsy around anything that might be DIYish but this was simple. Software running on windows 10 no problems.

unusable
Product had a one time only activation code that had already been used. Seller should have mentioned this in the description. Product returned.
