BOSSFv-500H High Impedance Volume Pedal, Ultra-Smooth Pedal Movement & Heavy-Duty Aluminum Die Casting Body

I bought this after returning a Boss FV-50H as it was made of plastic and wouldn't have the durability I need. I am so glad I did.This is true Boss/Roland quality. Solid metal casing with a larger volume sweep than the FV-50H. Heavy and with rubber feet so it won't move. Big enough for big feet and a truly non-slip top. There are also heel and toe bumps which sets this pedal apart, even from more expensive ones like Morley's Little Alligator. This allows me to know exactly where my foot is on the pedal so I can be sure of the same foot position at all times. This makes use more consistent and predictable.In addition, there is adjustable baseline volume and adjustable tension to give the pedal more resistance if desired. Dedicated tuner out with no impact on output volume or increased noise. It even can double as an expression pedal.Only potential issue for some people might be the weight it adds to a pedalboard - 1.6kg.This is the best volume pedal I've used and I expect it might be the only one I will ever need.

Delivered on time and the pedal works well with my bass guitar. It is very well made and solid.

Used for several months now and getting used to it. Works reliably and well made and strong. Feels like a quality build as expectedfrom Boss, not a lightweight object and hence the cost. I like the side connection for a tuner and the ability to adjust the minimum volume. Only issue I have had is that the volume change does seem very sensitive at the lowest levels so make nailing the first note level a bit difficult but I suspect that is my skill level and will become easier with more practice.Really enjoying using it.Be sure to check which version you need, this one is direct from the bass guitar and for me, goes directly into the amp.

There's sturdy, and then there's this pedal. You really wouldn't want to drop it on your foot because it's very substantial indeed - and you need that in a volume pedal. My last Boss volume pedal withstood heavy use for over thirty years and it's still in service, although it does need regular cleaning to stop it getting noisy. This one is even more robust, and noise-free. I suspect that this one will last longer than I will...

Bulky for lobbing around but works fone

Simply does the job it was made for.Good size, it's actually a really big pedal but, you need it.Great for all volume control, you can be a subtle as you like.Fantastic.

Volume pedals aren't the most exciting items on a guitarist's pedalboard, but a very valuable tool for adding ambient swells and boosting volume for solos. The Boss FV-500H High impedance volume pedal does all this and more perfectly and is built like a tank so I expect it to last for years with normal use. It can also be used as an expression pedal, although I haven't tried this function yet.

This pedal case is constructed from aluminium type material and is strong.I’m only a bedroom guitarist so don’t get to use the pedal in earnest. My observations are;No noise.Gentle incremental volume increase or decrease.Pedal stays in the position it’s left in.For me, it doesn’t seem to span from “No volume to Full volume” however I like it.
