My daughter is having a lot of fun with this hair chalk set. Includes a Large color assortment and excellent value. Her hair is light, so All of the colors show up subtle and vibrant. And dependent on lighting conditions even brighter. My daughter also discovered that this works well on daddy's mostly grey beard. We have a lot of fun with it. Children were looking forward to using the hair chalks. Followed the directions to a T. If you have dark hair forget it! Grandma tried it on her silver hair and it still doesn't work. Have two dogs but both are black. Good teachable moment - don't believe everything you read and see! Fooled Grandma again! Children are disappointed! What was with the useless plastic gloves and a hung of plastic? Really!

I bought these hair color brushes as a gift for my 4 year old daughter. She was excited to get them and use them. These brushes do not apply color as easy as you would expect. The color in the brush is like a block of crayon. You have to use a lot of pressure to get any of the color to apply. My daughter has light blonde hair and you would think that it would color easy but it took a lot to apply color to just a few strands of hair. We ultimately gave up because the amount of pressure it took to apply the color pulled her hair too badly.

Wasn't as bright as the illustrations show (which wasn't surprising and actually preferred for what we needed), but it worked well enough to accomplish the Weird Barbie look my wife wanted for Halloween. Easy enough to apply to slightly damp hair.

This hair chalk works well with my kids light blonde hair. The darker the hair though the color will not be as bright and also sum of the darker colors like purple and blue might not show up well either on the darker hair. My 2 year old has darker blonde hair than my other 2 girls i would say blue and the purple did not show up as well as it did on the lighter hair.
