Excellent measuring glass
Excellent measuring glass. Numbers are clear down the side of the glass. Nice and thick glass so less likely to break if it's knocked over or dropped (I can attest to this haha). We'll worth the price. I'd definitely recommend if this is what you are looking for.

Better than plastic.
Although more prone to breakage than plastic, this is a very good measuring cylinder. I bought this after experiencing a plastic version on which the painted on graduations came off in places after it's first use.Good clear graduation scale on this one and still there! Fairly thick glass, not measured it, and a stable base. Easy to read scale through clear glass.Unable to comment on "Sheerness" because I've not visited this Kent town for many years!Be aware that the product picture shops a pipette, it isn't included. Not with the one I received.

Excellent product. Bought this [from King Scientific through Amazon] to replace countless broken glass hydrometer trial jars. I should have just bought this from the start. This has a good wide base and so doesnt topple over very easily. A sample of very hot wort can be taken and left to cool in this jar for a 20C measurement (it can take the heat!). While I dont intend to knock over this jar, I reckon it would have a far better chance of not breaking than the usual glass trial jars for hydrometers.

Excellent and strong
A replacement for another in polypropylene, it is accurate, strong being borosilicate and should take a few knocks.Ideal for measuring smaller quantities of liquid recipe ingredients.

Pleased with this glass cylinder
All I wanted this glass cylinder is for holding the wine whilst using a hydrometer in wine making. It holds enough wine but not too much. It is tall enough to hold the hydrometer. The glass is clear and I like to be able to see through it as opposed to it being opaque. As with all glass, it will break if care is not taken. I don't know how accurate it is, as I have not measured with it. I am happy with this purchase and very happy with the seller. Received it the day after ordering, well packaged.
