Tent has been up for a year+ and is sturdy. . and DRY!
I bought this, my first ever hot tent, to set up near a sledding hill that is located a ways out back on our Michigan property. It's a bit of a hike to get back and forth from the hill to/from our house, so I wanted a place near the hill to rest, maybe have some hot cocoa, and get warmed up in between sledding runs. I bought the tent in the Fall of 2023 and set it (by myself) immediately after receiving it. It was pretty easy to set up. I spread it out, staked it, put the pole in, did some adjustments to the stakes, then done. The tent has been sitting in that same location for over a year now. The date I'm writing this is currently Nov 2024.The first Winter the tent was up we got a big dumping of heavy wet snow and I couldn't get out to the tent with a snow rake to get the snow off. I knew the tent was probably collapsed from that snow. The tent had instructions to keep the snow brushed off. So my bad, and not a mark against the tent that it was, indeed, collapsed. The center pole had broken under the weight of the wet, heavy snow. I ordered a new set of two poles (for an awning) and simply unzipped the tent door, went under, and raised the tent back up by putting BOTH poles in the center. (Two poles have better odds than one in case that happens again.) It amazed me that everything inside of the tent, the woodstove, chairs, a cot, boxes of wood and kindling, were all bone dry. The tent acted as a tarp until I was able to get out and put it back up.The tent stayed up all Spring, Summer, and Fall (so far) of 2024 and has endured some lowlife, criminal vandals slicing it, on two different occasions. I got a patch kit each time and patched the sliced areas and haven't had any problem with water coming in.I bought some FIREHIKING Fireproof Pipe Wrap (2 packs of wrap) to wrap around my stove pipe so the tent wouldn't get hot near where the pipe goes into the chimney jack. (If you use that make sure to wear gloves while handling it.) I don't know if that was necessary, but I didn't want to take a chance on scalding the tent material.I didn't purchase the screened in portion of the tent with a floor. For what I'm using the tent for that's not necessary and would just get in the way. I put a tarp inside the tent to set my boxes of wood/kindling on, so they don't get damp from the ground.Considering all this tent has gone through and how long it's been up (it's still up), I have nothing but good things to say about the tent as applies to my needs. It has never leaked. Through heavy wet snow, fluffy snow, sleet, hail, torrid rains, and even while collapsed, the tent has stayed bone dry inside.I enthusiastically give it five stars.

Spacious and lightweight for its size
My previous favorite tent was also a 16’ diameter tent. BUT, it weighed 40# and took one athlete or two normal people to set up. It was hot in the summer. It was also three time the price. This FireHiking tent is only ten pounds and can easily be erected by one person. Plenty of ventilation with both doors open, so I expect it to be very useable summer and winter. Taking advice from another buyer, I’m going to replace the rather flimsy center pole with a 2” wooden clothes pole. That would be inconvenient if I were trying to use this for backpacking, but since I’m not, it should work out well. I’ll try to update this next year if I encounter problems.

Good quality and waterproof
I was hoping to make this a Four Season tent for us, but that just won't happen with this one without some modifications. My major issue is with air flow. While it has mesh vents down low and up high, there is nothing to keep them open. The ones at the peak do tend to pull open when the sidewalls are tightened up, but the bottom ones stay closed whether they're velcroed or not.The video in the description shows some kind of stay inserted to hold it open. Those are not included (the more I watch it, the more I think he's using a pointed stake to hold it open). I'm going to end up making some with velcro at each end, but it is an absolute scorcher in the summertime. The only saving grace is that the snow skirt can be rolled up and secured so you get a breeze from below the tent, but those vents being open would help tremendously, especially if you set up the tent with those facing into the wind (opposite for cold weather). The other minor annoyance is with the almost impossible task of setting it up by yourself. I laid the tent out flat and made a roll in the center to accommodate the pole height, staked everything down and attach the center pole. There were huge sags in about half of the panels. After several times of readjusting stakes, it pulled somewhat symmetrical. The next time I just staked three sides down and inserted the center pole. I then pulled each of the corners tight and staked them down. Again, they were sags in a couple of panels that no matter what I did, they would not pull tight.I sent someone inside with the pole to hold it while staking down the sides, but they bailed out because of the heat (it's summertime right now, so I would imagine winter would be a different story). Those issues aside, it's a good tent. The included stovejack comes as a solid piece and you have to cut the hole according to the size of your stove chimney. They also sell replacement ones on their website (but not Amazon) so if you have 2 different size stoves, you can just swap out the jack.Waterproofing is good. The seams are taped and none leaked. The fabric itself didn't let a drop through either. It's annoying to have to crawl to reach the bottom zipper to get out; a 2 way would be best. But that's the nature of teepee style tents. The mesh half tent insert is almost a must in non-winter months as every bug around wants to join you inside as there's no floor. It's a fraction of the weight of our Teton Sierra 16 canvas tent, so it will definitely have a place in our camping supplies.

Ok
I plan to try it out next week. It seems to be made fairly well but I was dissatisfied in that with my individual order there was not a zippered carry bag nor instructions on setting it up. With looking for a video on instructions I saw that the carry bag & instructions were supposed to be included but were left out !

Hot tent
The media could not be loaded. Got the tent for Christmas set it up today and it didnt come with enough stakes but overall it seems to be waterproof. I'm kinda questioning the zipper but overall works great easy setup. Didn't come with instructions. Worth the money

Not waterproof!
Ship to the house on Wednesday, left for hunting on Friday. The tent worked very well for the first 2 nights on the third night it rained. Everything that was inside the tent got wet. I recommend you test a tent out with a garden hose before you go and find out in woods. I had tocut my trp short and I'm not pleased withthis product. Not worth the money.

Road tested and approved
Got on Wednesday took it out and set it up at night in the snow. I have never owned a tent like this and was able to set it up in about 20 minutes. In 40 minutes had a fire in the stove and was drying off. Great tent worked how I wanted it to
