Great fountain pen ink
Many years ago I bought my mother a Waterman fountain pen. After she passed away I inherited the pen back.I now use this ink in the pen daily for work. Writes beautifully and such a nice colour.

Lovely ink, doesn't stain if spilled!
I use this ink for writing envelopes in work and it works beautifully with my fountain pen, but doesn't stain my hands or my desk, and even washes out of clothes. Can smudge on paper if over applied or it gets wet, but perfect if like me you are a messy pen filler. Smooth and not too deep in colour, I adore the purple and the black as they are both slightly translucent. Wonderful for calligraphy work. More like a deep water colour than a thick ink.

When you want to stand out a little use a good quality ink
Writing by hand these days stands out from the crowd, i like to use a fountain pen of good quality that my parents got for me several years ago as a present. However if you use blue or black ink its still and bit samey so when i saw this purple ink i jumped at the chance. when i was first starting out at work i remember architects using differently coloured ink and it really stood out. I'm delighted to say that, while not chepa, this ink is great quality and looks fantastic in my letters, cards and other correspondence. Highly recommended

My bottle says Havana Brown.Still the best of the off-the-shelf brown inks. 50 ml/2 oz bottle, made in Paris I understand. It's reasonably dense and opaque and the colour is very good, almost a proper squid-sepia. When freshly loaded (a couple of Parkers and a WATERMAN pen) it flows quite well, better (and easier to spell) than the Sheaffer Skrip brown which is 1.69 oz (still labelled 2 oz) and made in Slovakia according to my bottle, but it tends to die if I haven't used the pen for a few days and then it needs jump-starting with a dip into coffee (unsugared, obviously) or a nib wipe with a wet tissue and sometimes it needs a purge and refill. For completeness, Magic Color brown, a graphics ink, clogs alarmingly but is the densest of the bunch. I think it's acrylic based and a bit risky in fountain pens.Windsor and Newton brown ink - great with a dip pen and gives really sharp lines but it's shellac based and will kill a fountain pen dead unless it's purged _immediately_ with water then alcohol.Dr Martins browns, loads of colours, is essentially pigmentless dye based super concentrate and will never clog a pen so that may be useful to some but it's very transparent and vivid and some shades fade when exposed to light. A bit specialised.NO ink is ever going to compare to freshly-rubbed lampblack and acacia traditional calligraphers' ink for flow, opacity or sharpness. All fountain pen inks are poor substitutes - but offer convenience and colours. Unless you're into Zen and extreme archival permanency, forget it. It's a great example of what ink CAN be, though if no compromises are necessary.Waterman's brown? Once it's flowing, the writing is deliciously rich. For me, the rule is simple - Waterman for brown, Pelikan (where 30 ml = 1 fl.oz, made in Germany) for black. Parker - 57 mm, France - for cleaning your nib or filling the kids' pens..To be fair, they're all pretty good.IAII, when I was at primary school we still had inkwells and were not allowed to use fountain pens, only dip 'n' blot long point steel nibs. The ink supplied was Lion Brand, in (I think) a yellow and blue 1 gallon can. It stunk strangely and was an insipid royal blue colour and was so unwaterproof that it smudged from sweat drips or damp weather or the dog salivating on it while you tried to get homework eaten instead of handing in unfinished drivel. If it got properly wet it would disappear completely.I digress. It's what I do.Waterman brown - I'd give it five if it didn't dry out between uses. The next brown I buy will be Waterman.

Beautiful ink
Lovely bottle. Ink flows on to the paper superbly, and all at a great price. Will repurchase in the future

Very Good ink
This ink drys very quickly which is very important to me as I am left handed. I will but this again when it has run out. It was also a better price than the parker ink.

Beautiful
Such a beautiful colour. My fine nib pen seems to write so much better since I switched to this colour. Flows really nicely

Excellent and safe
Waterman inks are reliable and safe because they are pH neutral. The bottles are well designed to enable filling when the ink level is low. Sadly, the range of colours is small and has recently got smaller, now that Brown has been discontinued.

Beautiful & Sophisticated
If you are anything like me, and prefer to use colors you don't see every day, this is exactly what I wanted. It is not blue and it is not black, rather blue-black (hence the name "mysterious blue"), which has always been a favorite ink shade of mine when I am able to find it. Great for any purpose in which you would use either blue, or black, and you don't have to decide which one to use with this two-in-one shade. Excellent quality ink flows smoothly from my pen. (Next time I will wear plastic gloves when filling the pen, as the color is so saturated it stained my fingers.)

It is Ink in a bottle.
The Waterman ink is a nice color. Harmonious Green is a very nice lighter green ink that is not mistaken for black as often as some of the darker greens I have. The ink flows well and dries quickly on most papers. Newsprint is not its favorite surface. Because it flows so well, newsprint becomes sponge-like and becomes a blotter with blots instead of written words. It is not a great choice for your daily crossword puzzle.
