Used this to install a garbage disposal.I liked the wide platen and its almost 1 foot height elevation. It easily lifted the garbage disposal without much effort. The operation was smooth.

Perfect, you can move the project up to a comfortable height

The scissor mechanism is adequate, but the sliding joints are poorly designed and sloppy. It is reasonably stable from collapsed to halfway up, but then gets wobbly. All scissor lifts have a sliding part at the top and bottom of the scissor. This one uses a cheap screw thread sliding on the edge of a thin piece of sheet metal, with no bushing at all. Aside from the slot being too wide, the narrow edge of the sheet metal guide will eat into the screw ends pretty quickly, making everything worse. It's a shame they got lazy on this part of the design, the scissor itself and platforms are actually good.

My wife enjoys laser engraving, but found it time comsuming when changing the laser frame height for different projects. She was using wood blocks and shims to adjust the four corners of her YoraHome engraver, until she found these small scissor lifts on Amazon.She loves the precision movement of the lifts, and commented that she didn't expect so much quality for the price. Now all she has to do is walk around the unit and count the number of turns on each jack. She enjoyed them so much she upgraded to an 80W head for the engraver.

When raising the jack, the platform wobbles left to right. I placed my camera on it and still wobbled. Returning.
