CasioEdifice Men's Watch EF-539D

I bought this from Amazon after seeing it for sale on a British Airways flight. I held off buying it, regretted that decision as I really liked the look of it, searched it out here and found it was over £30 cheaper! Happy days!Quite honestly, the quality and design of this watch beggars belief when you look at the price tag. So much so, it would probably sell better if it were twice the price as people wouldn't think of it as being 'cheap'! This is a quality watch by any standards.It's design means it can be dressed up or down as you need - wear it more formally, or wear it casually and it'll always look good. The bracelet, with its excellent and easy to use clasp, adds to this fact and adds to the quality feel. It's not so think (high) that it can't be worn under a shirt cuff.The dial is clear, perhaps not the easiest to read at-a-glance as the hands are similar in colour to the dial, but you soon learn how to focus in on the hands with extended use. The sub-dials are clear and accurate and the pushers have a solid feel to them.Accuracy and time keeping is good. The hands hit their markers centrally without fail and the watch offers excellent time keeping.It's reasonably heavy, which adds to the quality feel, but not so heavy it's not comfortable and it never feels top-heavy as the bracelet offsets the weight very well. It's definitely not a watch for those with very thin wrists or those who like their watch to disappear on the wrist, it's a sizeable watch with real presence.You really do have to spend a lot more money to get to the next level of quality.The only criticism - and I'm being very picky here - is the quality of the plastic on the inner bezel does look like plastic and is the only part that could be considered cheap. You have to have a good, close stare to notice though.

Well I purchased this watch a couple of months ago and wanted to wait a bit before giving a review. Well I had my eye on this watch for sometime and finally found a reason to treat myself. This watch is awesome, and for the price it is a bargain. Looks way more expensive. First things first, the watch arrived in good time and well packed in a strong display box. The finish and detail on this watch is smooth and the face is clear and easy to read. The size of the watch is a little on the bigger side but not ridiculously big, I have skinny wrists and I don't feel it's too big. Easy to adjust the strap too. The weight is a bit heavy but I like a bit of weight in a watch so I like that but if you want a watch that weighs nothing then that may be one thing to consider (not saying it's heavy, just a bit of weight). I really like this watch, looks great, keeps time and easy to read and wear. Had a few comments in just the little time I've had it too. Oh and the hands have a great glow for you dimmer or dark rooms time checks. In my opinion it's a great watch and a decent price and I would recommend this all day long.

Superb! Absolutely superb! If you are looking for a premium, solid, well built watch then look no further. I am very passionate about watches and this one certainly "tickles" me. It has the unmistakable quality of a Casio Edifice watch, even if this is one of the entry level to the Edifice family.The straps are easy to adjust (I have manage to do it myself) but this does not mean that it will fall from your hand. The dark background with the white details give it a perfect contrast so you can have a quick, yet accurate look at your watch even in the most difficult of conditions. It has the perfect balance of gizmos and day-to-day usability. If you want a watch that it's main purpose is to tell you the time accurately and does not distract you with other things, then this is for you.It looks premium, it feels premium, it acts premium, but it does not have the "premium" price tag.I have fallen in love with it, and this is a hard thing to achieve with me.Highly recommend it!Score 5 of 5 (my first full score)I am not hired by the brand. I was really concerned about this purchase as I had read mixed reviews regarding weight and size and how easy it is to scratch. For the money, this is a great watch. It is a large watch but I have slim wrists and the face is not overwhelming. It is easy to remove links from the strap but I watched a couple of "how to" video posts first. There are arrows on the inside of some of the links, only attempt to remove these. The lens is mineral crystal and, although not the grade of very high end watches such as Tag Heure, it is very good at this price point. If you do manage to scratch the lens, it'll be your fault really. Everyone I have shown this watch guessed the price to be much, much higher than it is. Can't complain really. As I'm a carpenter, this is not very practical for day use for me, but I am seriously considering a Casio G-Shock to wear at work and save this beautiful Edifice for going out. BTW, I never bother to write reviews, but I was impressed enough to write this one.

The media could not be loaded. Wow been looking at this watch a few days ,took the plunge hoping it looked as good as the photos, it didn't!! It looks much better in real life ,feels like good quality, nice weight. Very happy with this purchase, great service from Amazon once again and thank you to the friendly delivery driver. 5 star service all round.
