Our favorite meat source for our prepper homestead that’s clean and tastes great!
We live on a small homestead just outside the suburbs, and while we pride ourselves on our self-sufficiency with our garden, orchard, and our growing flocks of chickens and ducks, (and soon to be a milk cow, yay!) finding consistent and quality sources of protein (especially meats for long-term storage) has always been an issue. We’ve tried numerous canned meat brands. We heard about Survival Fresh because it was recommended by some other prepper homesteader friends of ours. My preference is for this brand BY FAR over all the others we’ve tried.First, the taste genuinely surprised me. When you think of canned meat, you might not immediately think 'delicious'. But these? They're flavorful and hearty, and there are no crazy ingredients that I am concerned about my kids eating.Second, anyone who's ordered canned products online knows the disappointment of receiving dented or damaged cans. These come in a robust, heavy-duty box with dividers. All my cans arrived in pristine condition. And they seem to really care about their customers and I appreciate their no-questions-asked refund policy. For others who are also trying to ensure your family is not dependent on the current food system, or are new to the concept: these cans aren’t just about emergency preparedness. They're also super versatile for daily cooking. We’ve used them in stews, in enchiladas and in numerous casseroles along with some veggies from our garden. The long 25-year shelf life assures me that whether it's for a rainy day or a situation ten years from now, these cans will hold strong. For those looking to further their preparedness, consider pairing these meats with a good supply of long-term grains and dried beans. Since these meats are pre-cooked you’ll save a lot of fuel on preparing meals with these in a pinch.

Have not tasted them.
Just received them about 10 minutes ago for being so well packed cans are pretty beat up and dented. The size was alot smaller 14 servings per can not sure about that either. It's smaller that my hand length. To be fair it could be absolutely delicious and the meat compacted in. Not sure I would purchase again.

Great tasting meat for long-term storage. I liked the variety.
I bought it for emergency use in the future. The packaging was sturdy and undamaged. I have used this brand before and found it tasted pretty good.

Great shelf life and taste
We’ve been looking for canned meats that we can store (cool dry storage) for years that tastes good and I think we’ve found it. Shelf life states 5yrs but also states up to 25yrs if stored properly. We’re taking their word for it and stocking up! We tried the pork and it was super tasty. Loved the low sodium levels and no crap in the labels we can’t pronounce. Super sturdy shipping box too, no dented cans. We also write the date or purchase and type of meat on the top of the cans, just in case the labels come off. We’ll purchase again.

cans were dented
The 2 chicken cans were dented one a very large dent and two of the beef cans were slightly dented at the rim. I don;t think this is good for long term storage. Won't buy from again.

Long term food
Fantastic food. taste great and the only ingredients is meat and salt. And two people can't eat a 28 oz can in one setting. It's definitely a two meal can. I have bought 6 cases of all the different meat they and have eaten each one.I have to say it was awesome meat. Taste great, and you can make anything you can think of with it.
