Bedding, 10 kg

My pekin bantams are kept clean and warm with this. I also used it on the floor of the coop. Is is absorbent and composts down well. The girls also love having a scratch about in it. Good value too.

My chicken and I much prefer this to straw. She loves digging about in this and making herself a nest in her bed. The straw she tends to kick out of the coop! It smells nice has no dust bits on it and clumps up so much easier to clean out than straw. I find I waste a lot when using straw and this lasts a lot longer so although more expensive it is worth it in the long run because it lasts longer. Good stuff and I will buy again.

I had my chooks on straw to start off with and it sent me mad when I cleaned out their house, which I do every morning as it’s small. Straw would cause poi to ping off all over place!!Easichick bedding is fab - smells nice, so much easier and faster to clean out and lasts a long time as you don’t waste any!

Bought multiple times for chicken keeping - used for tray under chicken roosting tray to collect poop.

I use this for my chickens. It’s easy to clean away and absorbs well. Like the size of package- big enough to last a while.

Shredded wood bedding for chickens. Dust extracted. Doesn't get thrown out of the coop so easily like straw does. Chickens seem happy enough.

I use this over newspaper & sanded sheets at the bottom of our tiel cage. The tiels love scratching around in it for grit & seeds, and it absorbs poop & doesn't get smelly. It's easy enough to pop another layer in between cleans. I've tried a couple of other bedding options but this is the best one I've found.

I've always used Dengie Freshbed which I bought from a local shop that has unfortunately closed. So, I needed to find an alternative supplier for my bantams' bedding. As Easichick has a 4.6* review and is an 'Amazon Choice', I thought I'd give it a go. Really disappointed. It's more like 'wood chippings' as opposed to the straw like qualities of Dengie Freshbed. May have to cut my losses and go back to Freshbed as I'd rather my girls were cosied up in it during the cold winter months. Just my preference, I haven't asked the "girls" what they think!
