Outstanding!
I have three boys (4, 6 and 8) and they have had this gun now for over a year and they have put it to the test. Durable, durable, durable! My youngest boy never takes it off. He shoots it over and over and over again and it never mis fires. The size, the weight, the realistic look and feel, made out of metal is perfect. The only problem we have had is when we take it out in public, some people have commented on how realistic it looks so it's best not to remove the red platic tip, because that's the only thing that tips people off that it's a toy. So, Why am I buying another one? My youngest boy lost his at the park yesterday, so I'm buying two, one for back up.If you are looking for your kids to get away from the tv and into the back yard, role playing and using their imagination, old school style, this toy is perfect.

Sweet cap gun!
This is a really nice cowboy pistol! Great price and a quality gun. All metal except for the grips, and the caps are very loud. Although it is a twelve-shot, just sever an eight-shot ring and use half of another one. Walmart carries the eight-shot rings and they are 2.88 for 216 shots (27 rings). It's a good size, a little large for a small 5 year old, but great for me (adult woman with medium sized hands). It's a break barrel, so easy to load. You can't go wrong with this gun! Gonher makes the best cap guns!!

12 Shot Rings are expensive
The cap gun is high quality and well made. Just be aware a 12 shot refill ring of caps is about $0.75 per ring. An 8 ring refill is about $0.10 per ring.

Low Quality
Outlaw Die Cast Metal Cap Pistol First of all, this isnt the seller's fault, as the product was brand new and un-opened. The gun feels great, looks good, but there are two dents in the product's quality.1. The plastic handles for the cap-gun were slightly too big. This became a problem when he received a small cut from the edge of the oversized handles. I'm sure we can sand the edges, but we shouldn't have to modify a new toy to avoid potential dangers.2. Secondly, the drum for the 12 shot ring caps sits on a straight piece of metal and holds the assembly in place. The rod, holding the drum containing the cap shots, was bent. Due to this, the drum would not release. To fix it, it was needing to be bent to the proper angle. Also, a 2 4 1 - the bolt/screw/pin that keeps the barrel attached to the handle assembly is loose which causes a cheap feeling when holding it, as well as a continuous rattling from the assembly not fitting.Parris MFG makes the absolute best metallic cap-guns and I have no complaints - It happens, but rarely :) - the item I purchased was PERFECT - same seller and mfg

Great Toy!
My son wanted a set of these so he could play Red Dead Redemption II in the backyard. He loves them! spins the heck out of them and has dropped them plenty. Good Classic Fun.

Sturdy, real metal
Real metal. Has some weight to it. For small hands really. But looks good as a prop. Never used it with caps, so nothing to report there. A bit pricey, but not too bad.

junk dont buy for the price
the gun arrived and had marks( a "v" marking and halfway on the other side a parallel 2 straight line marks and looks like was clearing done by a person) on drum cylinder looks like from the factory. gun is over all loose ( shaky and feels like its going to break when trigger pulled ) and the hammer is plastic and the trigger doesnt engage till it is pulled halfway plastic handles are also loose. i am guessing it will not last very long. the gun is from gonher and was expecting a better made product . i would return it but it was a present and i cant take it back now. if you can find a edisen made in spain i would suggest to get that instead. better quality a bit larger and around the same price.

Heck yeah
the rotating cylinder and working hammer really make this. The overall pistol is definitely an order smaller than the gun that inspired it, but you cant go wrong with this. Plus the orange cap pops right off, so if youre like me and you paint and weather it, looks just like the real deal, just 25% smaller
