No complaint..work for what I need very bright so far battery life is good.

I bought it for checking out the fluorescence of some crystals I bought and it does an amazing job.. it's extremely bright.. and if anything ever happened with this thing I would definitely buy another .

One of the batteries was dead on arrival (1.97V charge with 2.75V minimum allowed). Aluminum milling defect in the cap. Still much better value than overpriced uvBeast V3 if you get non-defective unit.

The light will comes on and off, have to shake it to work. 😢

The first one I had to send back because it didn't work at all angles. I'm still testing the second. Both lights I've received have been obvious returns, So, if you are going to send me a return, don't you think you should charge for a return? These cost too much to fool with.

The Darkbeam seems to be almost identical to the UVBeast, but fails to deliver. When holding both approximately a foot from a white wall so that their beam diameters are equal, the UVBeast provides noticeably more and brighter light.The beam is very wide with a dark spot in the canter that is quite annoying whereas the UVBeast has a nice tight beam. The filter on the Darkbeam lets through a lot of light from other than 365nm. I tried switching the filters between the Darkbeam and UVBeast and the UVBeast definitely has a tighter bandwidth filter.

He told me that ff you have a need for a high-power UV flashlight, this one is genuinely impressive. We've used a medium power UV flashlight for years to locate pet urine, identify uranium glass and fluorescent minerals, and cure UV-set glues and resins. What really makes this UV flashlight far superior to the others is the three high-output UV LEDs sitting behind an excellent visible light filter. Hubby toke three sets of photos to try and capture the difference between this UV flashlight and the one we've been using. Although these photos were taken with a quality camera, it cannot capture the detail and depth of contrast as seeing these scenes in person. One set shows how much more intensely uranium glass fluoresces; another shows light soap residue on the front of our washing machine that can barely be seen without the visible light filter of this flashlight; the last set shows a US currency note in visible light and how the UV security markings look under our original UV flashlight and this one. In all three cases, the visible light filter makes a tremendous difference in contrast and clarity of UV sensitive materials. The flashlight body itself has a large heatsink and there is an extension barrel that lets you use three 3.7V 18650 lithium batteries for longer operation between charges; however, the flashlight only comes with two batteries. This is truly an excellent UV flashlight and we've gotten a lot of use out of it over the past 6 weeks. Highly recommend.

Right out of the package defective gave the two lithium batteries a full charge reinserted them into the flash light. Instant over heating almost burned my hand
