Does great for professional use!
I use this model every day for work on aircraft interiors. I’ve gone through a few airbrushes and this one is the best of them.As far as I know, it’s the only one that sprays fanned out rather than just a round area which will affect the appearance of your work, (but it also comes with a nozzle for round area.) The fan nozzle can be rotated to spray in a vertical or a horizontal fanned-out line area. The reducer I use in the paint doesn’t affect the lid. Reducer pretty much kills rubber O-ring gaskets (rather quickly) that some airbrushes come with. This lid stays on though, and has prevented many spills even without. The brush was easy to unclog when I didn’t have a chance to clean it before leaving one afternoon. Next day, I cleaned the tip with reducer, pulled the trigger several times and then plugged the tip with a cloth while pressing the trigger so it would shoot back into the paint cup and after that it was ready to go again. If you have to take the whole thing apart, there are a lot of parts to this one. I’ve never had to, but I did once just to learn how to give it a thorough cleaning once in a while. The screw dial below the front portion controls the air pressure so you can get paint texture that way by closing it a little and if you want to control the amount of paint going through, you can tighten the back tip if desired or don’t pull back all the way. Open up the screw and let the air flow faster for a smooth, fine texture.

Best airbrush I have ever used for large area coverage by a wide margin. 6 stars!
I specifically bought this airbrush because I started spraying Tru-Color solvent based acrylics and I just wasn't happy with the finish I was getting using conventional airbrushes on large surfaces. These are my Iwata HP-C and HP-CH.With the HP-TH, right out of the box with minimal tuning and no paint thinning experimentation I was able to get glass like finishes. 30 PSI and 50/50 paint to thinner ratio. Using the MAC valve I was able to dramatically reduce overspray and lay down a heavy, even, beautiful coat that covered my base color in a few passes. I can't say enough about the quality of the finish you can achieve with this product. This is not a fine detail spray gun, it's not meant to be. This is definitely a coverage gun and it is by far the best I've used for large surfaces on scale models. It is literally a miniature automotive sprayer right down to the rotatable flat spray nozzle. If you have ever used a professional automotive gravity feed paint gun this will all be very familiar. If I could give this thing more than 5 stars I would!

Amazing
I use it for createx primer and to spray metallics. It states .5mm tip but is much larger than the other iwata .5mm airbrushes i have. Worth every single penny. Just get the grip for it.
