KEEN Utility Men's Independence 6" Leather Waterproof Soft Toe Work Boot

Boots fit great. My 4th pair of keen work boots. Comfortable from day one, very little break-in necessary. Waterproof, high quality material. I'm an electrician so I kneel a lot and these boots have toe guards so the the toes don't get ruined. Even though these are soft toe, the rubber toe guards protect me.

I have a wide foot and it's hard to find good fitting boots. These are so comfortable and very well built! I'm a field technician for an Internet company and have to walk through a variety of harsh surfaces and climb ladders all day and these boots are amazing and very affordable. I will be ordering these again when mine eventually wear out

I would give these boots 5 stars, but I don't like the finish on the leather. The boots are very comfortable and the really support my ankles and eliminate the pain I was getting from my previous hiking shoes. The liner that comes in the boot is very comfortable for me. They look great out of the box. My only gripe is the leather on the toe is sort of thin and prone to dings. The finish will wear off quickly and start to look pretty bad in short order. It looks months older than it really is due to how soft the leather is. I don't know if they intended you to polish these, but I do, and it makes them look much better. The tread is very good and very grippy and squeaks like crazy when I walk through my shop. Keen obviously takes waterproofing and making the toe durable seriously and I appreciate that, since where I live you alternate between snow, mud, and dust. I like Merells, for instance, but due to the way they sew the leather strips and nylon sections together, mine always leaked and started to fall apart about where the Metatarsal gives way to the Proximal Phalanges bone (in other words, the area just before where my little toe starts). That spot on every pair of Merrell shoes wears out and fails first. I have not had that issue so far with these Keen boots. I feel confident these shoes can take anything I throw at them and I can go through a shift at work in any conditions with no problems and no pain. After a few hours on concrete, you'll probably appreciate them.

The fit is right on! Comfortable right out of the box. Definitely quality work boots. No complaints, 5 STARS !

Seem pretty comfortable. But left boot was wrinkled up at the toe strings like it wasn't made right looks like they were wore a little while.paid for new

Parts of boot breaking after less than a week of use. Unsure of veracity of keen branding. Keen boots bought years ago directly from keen store have held up better.

Good boots for wear every day made in USA good quality material

I have had these boots for a few weeks now they may be wide enough for some people but for me there still tight. I'm on my feet all day constantly moving in our meat department and was hoping they would break in some but so far no real change my small toe still rubs enough on the side that it's extremely sore now and is hard to get into any shoe with out pain.That's the con and the reason I took 2 stars off now for the pros.The boots do feel very sturdy traction is great for my work environment that deals with a constant slip hazards. They do look great just wish they fit me better
