While I have a lot of experience with manuka honey, this is the first multifloral one and the flavor seems more balanced with less of the medicinal finishing flavor of other types of manuka honey. You can taste the complexity of the flowers the bees have had access to. It is difficult to describe, but it has a quality that is similar to herbal teas which contain things like lavender or chamomile. It makes for a very lovely, complex flavor when using this on things like bread or biscuits. I usually only use manuka honey in drinks to mask the flavor while receiving the nutritional benefits, but I enjoyed this as a spread. It's sweet, of course, and has the same notes as other types of honey, but not as cloying as those that you get at supermarkets which have other sugars blended into them. It's also a very economical for manuka honey and a good way to introduce it into your diet without breaking the bank.
