Great for ADHD and post-Bariatric surgery
Post bariatric surgery it is imperative that you keep your water consumption high and steady. The tracking it does is so ridiculously helpful. My husband and I share our tracking through the app, so we know to kindly nudge each other if we're really behind on our goal for that day.The app isn't perfect but it's pretty close. It lets you change what type of drink is in the cup, so the hydration count is accurate or manually track drinks you've had outside the cup. (My only small gripe with the app is for manual entries, if you swipe and find the type of drink first then adjust the amount, it resets the type of drink back to water. You have to remember to set the amount first, which of course I never do.) The notification reminders from the app are funny or adorable and not guilting or shaming or annoying. You can adjust those as well though if you don't love them. You can also set what times of day you'd like reminders so mine don't start until after I've finished my 1 daily cup of coffee. Also, with having ADHD I can become hyper focused on something and forget to sip. The light up bottom almost Pavlov's me into taking regular sips and allows me to stay hydrated without taking brain power away from my task. Post gastric bypass you can't take large gulps of water so it's hard to catch up if you fall behind in a day, so regular reminders to take small sips is key.And the cup doesn't sweat (aka water condensation on the outside) so that is nice. Now that I'm recovered, I'm hoping to buy one with a strap so it's easier to carry around all day as I'm out and about. This one is hard to keep in hand while towing kids, and a purse, and all the things' we tend to lug around so we can take care of everyone, including ourselves.

Water Intake Goals Easily Reached
Excellent product helps keep my husband well hydrated! easy to fill, calibrate with I Phone. Battery lasted 3 or 4 weeks before it had to be charged with the charging USB cord that comes with it.

Not accurate tracking!
I want to love this, but it's not accurate for me. It will go days without tracking any water for me, even though it says it's connected. Even if I recalibrate it. Then it will have days where it says that I'm drinking over 100 ounces even though I've only filled it at the beginning of the day and never refilled it that day. It the one with the straw and it says it works with ice so I don't know if the ice is part of what causes problems or not, but regardless it does not track accurately for me at all. It was a big waste of money and I should have returned it.

Great, but super leaky
I have found the smart features of this amazing. I’m definitely more motivated to hydrate. I used to struggle to get in 20 oz, now I’m doing between 90-130 and I’m on a 16 day streak of meeting my goals! It does glitch when I’m driving sometimes, I’ll notice that it logs that I drank 15oz when that didn’t happen. Bumps can’t be avoided though so I just delete those entries. The irritating part is that it kind of sucks as an actual water bottle. The puck makes it wobbly. I got the tumbler with the straw and it’s not leak proof in the least, even without the straw. So wobbly and leaky, I guess that makes the tracking somewhat unreliable as well because, well, I didn’t actually drink all that water I just spilled everywhere.

The Best Cup Ever!
The media could not be loaded. I have spent my life not being thirsty. I don’t know why, I’m hungry all the time but not thirsty. I’ve tried the giant jugs with the motivational measurements on the side, phone alarms that just annoy me, and everything in between.THIS IS IT. My doctor is so proud of me and this cup. It was a little difficult syncing up but after I got it done, it’s been a dream! It’s a good amount of liquid too (20oz). The app on my phone syncs accurately and immediately while letting me set the color to the bottom of my cup :) No more passing out from dehydration. Thank you, HidrateSpark!

Good and bad smart bottle
Good looking tumbler. Every time you drink or add water, you place the bottle on a flat surface for 10 seconds to allow it weigh the change. The puck glows to confirm the weight. If it doesn’t, the water volume change might be too minor or you should charge the puck. You should not combine two operations and weigh only one, cause it obviously can’t tell how much you have drunk in that case. The bottle is way less tall than the 21oz brother, or even the 17oz one, making it less likely to fall over, which is good. The cap is not leak proof and when the bottle accidentally falls over the liquid comes out, which is bad. The magnetic charger doesn’t stick to the puck well, same issue as all other HidrateSpark bluetooth bottles. My suggestion to the manufacturer, please upgrade the charging system to a more stable and standard one, like Qi wireless charging or simply USB PD with Type C. And redesign the cap and make the body dishwasher safe for sure.==update:Returned as the cap doesn’t seal well and leaks if fall over. Also, water splashes every time you close the sliding cap.

Lost puck
For something so expensive you would think they would have a better locking mechanism for the puck. A slight turn and it falls out. In this case it fell out of my wife's cup tonight. She's absolutely devastated. The locator doesn't work either. It showed it last at a place before the last place she had it. The worst part is seeing how sad she is.
