Works great for mom who is an amputee. She is 78 and walks with a prosthetic leg and a walker. She has some Balance issues on the slanted driveway. This gait belt fits great and is easy to use.

My husband had ALS. Before he lost all mobility, this was paramount in being able to help him stand and walk with having me walk behind him to ensure he didn't fall.

GLUKIEWT Gait Belt/Transfer Belt is helpful to move the midsection of any elderly person/patient as my dear old mother. This is especially helpful to lift mom from a bed with raised arms on my shoulder. Or getting into a car where the midsection is not centered into the car seat. Without this belt, I have to grab on pants, which is can tear the pants or can't get a good drip surface to hold on to. The belt is easy to wrap around to snap the buckle on and plenty of handles from multiple angles to get a good hand hold to move mom from the midsection. Used in combination with a shoulder transfer belt works even better for larger torsos as mom.The belt is sturdy and reinforced with padded hand loops for a sure grip. Once adjusted for the proper waist size, the buckle makes it easy to get on and off. The backing is wide and supportive for mom's waistline and lower back.This is a great tool to ease the effort needed to care for mom or any other patient.

I got this for my mother who hates gait belts. I was hoping the thicker strap would be more comfortable but she still wants nothing to do with it. She prefers me to lift her from her shoulders which is nice for her but not so much for my back. They need to invent a gait belt that perhaps doesn't go around the waist or doesn't require a tight fit to be effective.

Physical therapists only provided simple gait belt with alligator type of belt closure. I never felt it was secure enough for me to assist my husband, 227# and recent amputee. With this belt I now feel we are both secure enough for me to assist with a sitting pivot from wheelchair to another surface. Once properly adjusted for size, I was amazed at how secure and practical this gait belt is to use. The handles are soft and pliable yet sturdy. The stitching appears to be sturdy as well. I appreciate longevity and at this point it looks well manufactured. I am extremely pleased with my initial examination. Thank you for a quality item at a reasonable price.

I was only going to do a rating but have found this belt very helpful. On Dec 20th I had a total hip replacement and then on Dec 30th I had a fall down my stairs now breaking my kneecap and that too required surgery. This belt has a ton of handles making it extremely helpful for my caregivers to help me in my everyday life, with walking and lifting me in and out of the shower with ease. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I fully support this product and encourage others to buy it if you need a gait belt to assist others with ease! Thank you!
