Really easy to use
This game is great for the DS because it is so easy to pick up and play for a few minutes without getting frustrated or bored, even if you play for longer periods. The games are all fairly simple but there really is 42 of them, and they really are all proper games (admittedly a few felt a little samey, but msot of the time on these games you find only a few decent ones.) The controls are so easy to use and totally designed for the DS, and unlike a lot of games where I feel that it could have been made much simpler and less difficult to use. This is a great game at a great price and I would recommend you buy it!

42 All Time Classics (Nintendo DS)
This game is great fun with friends as there are so many varieties of games to play; from card games like Black Jack and Sevens to popular games inspired from 'Battleships', 'Squares' and even billiards, darts and bowling. If you are unsure of how a particular game is played there is a mnaual for each game which offers detailed instructions. Online play was generally very good when I played it some years ago, however, in recent times it has become more difficult to find other players online. If you have a group of friends who each have a Nintendo DS though, there is so much fun to be had. A lot of the games also work if only one person has the cartridge in their Nintendo DS system via 'Download Play'. Highly recommended.

A few duds but a great overall package
This is one of those DS games which is just about perfect. You'll find at least 10-15 games you love, and the rest of your family will too. If you have 2 or more DS consoles you can play against each other - my 4 year old just picked it up and is the house Bowling champ. My mum (about to hit 60) loves Escape, so much so that we got her the game to play on my dad's DS. I haven't had a chance to try the various modes as it is snatched off me by the rest of the family as soon as I sit down with it. I have managed to try out the WIFI mode against others around the world which makes it all the more intense. Overall, a must have game - go get it!

42 All-time Classics
I am new to Nintendo, and was unsure, at 56, what games would suit me. This was my first game purchased, and I am highly delighted with it. It has all the old favourites, but not all are accessible to begin with: you have to work on the others to earn access. There is plenty of choice between solitaire and mutiple-player games and I have whiled away many enjoyable hours with this game, and can only say to whoever reads this: if you enjoy card & board games, buy it!! You will not be disappointed!

Totally Addictive!
I am a new ds owner. My son bought me one for my birthday and, being a pensioner, I was sceptical but went along with it. I tried a couple of training games but then I ordered this one! WOW! I can't stop playing it. Have had it a couple of months now and play almost every day. When I'm not playing it I look forward to a moment to get stuck into it again. I love all the games and particularly enjoy playing 'human' opponents via the wireless connection. Would not be without it and I get quite upset when my grandchildren want to have a go!!!!

Good addition to you DS game Library.
As with all games in this genre, it is pretty damn good but nothing fantastic. Some of the games are completely ignored by me as I couldn't be bothered learning about them but the majority were easy to follow. If you are a fan of board games, I am sure you will like this product.

42 All Time Classics
A must have for anyone who enjoys playing against a competitor (a person or the DS itself) as I do. I have had this DS game for months now and still really look forward to opening it and playing the games as each time it's different and keeps my grey cells active (as much as possible anyway!!) and, if like me, you live on your own it's like having a constant friend around to play a game with. Fantastic value and worth every penny.

A Fun Time Killer
Clubhouse Games has great, varied collection of traditional card/board games. Great for a quick, time-killing game of Hearts or a long, four hour plane trip. I'd definitely recommend this if you love traditional games but have no one to play with.

Hands down one of the best DS games.
Wow, this is probably the DS game with the most bang for you buck.Card Games, some Board Game, some Action Games. Good selection. Even includes Shogi, which isn't to common among game packs like these. Doesn't include Go, sadly. Also, the version of Battleship that they have (called "Grid Attack") gives players ships that are only a single square big, which almost totally ruins the game. Other than that, all the games are pretty solid gameplay wise. The program is controlled entirely with the touch screen, menus and games. Some of the games require you to beat "Stamp Mode", which is a mode where you have to play specific games in order to progress to the end. It's a little gimmicky maybe, but I think that it helps keep things interesting by making you play games you might not otherwise bother with at least a few times. You get 1 stamp if you lose the game, and 3 if you win the game, and you need 3 to go to the next game. Extra stamps carry from game to game but no from one "level" to the next (there's 5 levels of stamp mode). Beating each level of Stamp Mode unlocks one of the locked games, beating them all on Easy unlocks Normal and Hard. If you beat Normal you get a stamp you can use in the chat, and if you beat Hard you get a special color for the pen tool.Did I mention the chat? Apparently it'd integrated with the PictoChat system, so you can send messages to people that are in PictoChat while you're in Clubhouse Games. Which would be cool if PictoChat was a thing that people still used. You can't even get PictoChat on the 3DS, which is what people have been moving towards lately. Oh well.It has online multiplayer, and with local wifi you can use Download Play to play games with your friends that have a DS but don't have their own copy of the game.Basically, this game is the best. It's my second favorite DS game (after Pokemon: Soul Silver, of course). I'm not gonna say much more about this because it's very clear what you're getting so there's no need for me to go on.

Just what I need.
The game came a few days late but I was informed of the late arrival and confirmed a refund if it didnt come. The game works for what I need it to. No damage and clearly new.

reason to buy ds
I consider myself pretty restrictive of my son's screen time. Generally they get 90 minutes a week (including cartoons on saturday morning). Was impressed with a friend's son's ds, brain age is amazing, and I encourage my children to play it whenever they're in the car (doesn't count as screen time). After researching the ds and the available games I purchased a ds for my two sons (age 6 and 8). My intention was to permit them to play only 2 games:- brain age 2- club house gamesI got brain age 2 bundled when i bought the ds, but club house games was unavailable. The boys like brain age 2, but the intensity of timed mental exercises sometimes gets old, especially on long trips. I have spent the last 9 months searching in vain for club house games, enjoyed a disputed purchase on ebay and then watched the used price climb past $60 for this "rare" game. I was surprised to find it available new on amazon at a reasonable price.Club house games is a large collection of traditional games. The games are all simple and well made. I've watched the 6yo play chess, and I think the game play is good enough for a child. The games are much higher quality than the various cheapo electronic pocket games you find at toys 'r us, mostly enabled by the ds's excellent screens and pen interface. Focus of Club House Games is on game play and the collection is a great complement to the ds. Some of the games are pretty easy, but the boys like to win, so thats ok. The boys love it and I don't mind them playing it in the car.Club house games is pretty much equivalent to a big collection of board games, without the mess and without the fights when one boy loses to the other. I'd like to see them each have a ds and play head to head, but I think one ds is enough for now.
