The button is in effect a manual pump to force air into the flask, which then pushes the water out, so it does take a little effort to push down. However the button is big, 4 inches in diameter, so it doesnt take much dexterity to just put some weight on it. the button goes down into the top, so you do end up using 2, 3, 4 or 5 of your fingers to push it down, or the palm of your hand. however if using your palm the edge of the top then presses against your wrist and fingers. i just tried for you. I tilted it to test for you .it didn't leak when it was tilted it didnt leak on a clock face it wss tilted to 10 past 12 is easiest way to tell you hope that helps

Q: What is the Quantity of this flask

It is quite clearly stated in the description, in several places. The capacity that this flask can hold is 3 litres of liquid! Which can be pumped out by pressing the central button on the top of the flask. The liquid comes out from the flask from a pipe on the side of the flask. It is best to hold a cup/glass or container to hold the liquid near the outlet, to ensure no spillage.

I've never noticed heat on outside, it is a very useful piece of equipment and we use it when going out for the day as keeps liquid very hot
