Great cheap EDC flashlight
I wanted a cheap, lightweight flashlight to throw in with the various cables I keep in the laptop bag. This is never going to illuminate the beach, but it'll be great for anythign indoors, looking for something in the car park (when you don't want to be waiving your £500+ phone around as a light).I spent a while traversing the Reddit EDC and Flashlight subs and this looked about right. Remembering this is a £20 flashlight and not a £200+ Surefire, it does the job spot on.Weight was an important factor, and this comes in at 25g without batteries (amazon says 98g, but that must include packaging), add some alkalines to that and it is 48g. Could probably get it a little lighter with some energizer lithium aaa batteries.Brightness: 3/5 (don't let that put you off)Weight: 5/5 (25g without batteries)Value: 5/5 (it's <£20, I think I also had a £5 promo voucher so it cost me about £15 all in)Want the best? Look for a Surefire, but I'm not going to worry about losing or dropping this!
