Inconsistent product
Loved this stain when I used it on my side porch, chose “buy again” to make sure I got the same product to stain the front porch. Thought it looked weird, but chalked it up to different lighting. Ran out of my second gallon so I used what was left from my first purchase and it confirmed how different the colors were. Super disappointed my porches and steps are now two different colors.

Most amazing wood finish product I've ever used
I've been building "stuff" for over 60 years now - from footstools in shop class to fences, decks and furniture for my various houses. In that much time I've used every variety of stain, paint, shellac, varnish, gels, polyurethane, etc. out there and this product overshadows them all. The only reason I gave it 5 Stars is that there is no 10 Star button. Had there been one, I would have been pounding on it.This particular project is a wooden front door on a house that faces SW in Austin, TX. A great deal of UV damage, chalking, and fading. After a thorough cleaning with TSP, I then applied two coats of this product and here are the specific results.Cost: Expensive. Around $65-$70 per gallon. (And that's a bargain!)Coverage: Great. It soaks into the wood immediately. So much so that there are next to NO backstrokes because the brush is virtually dry after a few main strokes.Drying time: Extremely quick for an oil based product in my experience, but on the other hand it is 77 degrees on the 16th of January here in Texas today.Application: Spend the money for a high quality brush (no cheap foam crappy things) and this product will go on like warm butter and dry beautifully. And the second coat is even easier.Appearance: Gorgeous. Rich, warm, dark brown - as opposed to before the application.Protection: Rated over 90% UV blocker.Overall: You definitely get what you pay for - a fantastic product!

Best for ipe color retention
Goes on easily. You only need a thin one-coat. Takes at least a full (dry/warm) day to dry properly. I’ve tried other stuff on ipe but this is best solution

Easiest Wood Finish Product I've Used
I purchased this to finish some cedar chairs and it worked perfectly. It was easy to apply and while many stains and finishes can be difficult to avoid the appearance of brush strokes this stuff just sinks into the wood so it's a non issue.
