Excellent bino's
I have an old pair of Carl Zeiss binoculars and I thought they were pretty good but I decided to replace them. I opted for these binoculars and I am not disappointed. The optics are excellent, the view is so clear and bright you can see amazing detail (have been watching the garden birds) with the extra magnification. I was unsure if the greater magnification would cause more shake when viewing but it hasn't so very pleased. I also saw some reviews that mentioned the diopter adjustment button was very stiff but there is a button diagonally opposite each side of the eye piece and adjusting this is easy and very smooth. All in all it feels like a quality bit of kit. I'm very pleased with them.I've not used them for astronomy yet as the skies have not been favourable but I have high hopes. The only gripe was the delivery, the binoculars come in the flimsy box they are originally put in, no protection at all and everyone can see what the product is! The box was trashed when it got to me but fortunately there was no damage to the binoculars. Shame Amazon didn't put it in their usual cardboard box.

Great for looking and seaching large areas
Bought these for hubby's Christmas pressie following recommendation from the Whale and Dolphin Watch as we live on an Island and often go out walking and looking for the many dolphins, Minke Whales and Basking Sharks spotted around our shores. They are good quality and sufficient zoom for purposes and for the price paid. Very happy with purchase

Perfect Balance of Power vs Weight
When choosing a pair of binoculars there is a compromise between magnification, weight and of course price. The Nikon Action EX 12x50 CF hits the sweet spot perfectly, by giving ample magnification without being too heavy or too expensive. These binoculars come in a rugged rubberized body and most importantly have the excellent optics that one would expect from Nikon. The focus of the right eyepiece is independently adjustable allowing for users to correct for when their left/right vision is different. All in all these are great binoculars, the clarity is amazing and the central focus wheel offers very accurate control. There are two minor negatives to point out: first, neither the lens caps nor the eyepiece cover at attached to the body (but can be clipped to the strap); second there is no strap for the bag.

Quality
Really pleased with these binoculars, I need to wear glasses permanently and was not sure if these would be of any benefit to me.Absolutely outstanding in quality, use ability, and results.Worth every pound.

Nikon Action EX 10x50 CF binoculars
These binoculars are quite heavy (only to be expected with a 50mm objective porro prism binocular). The resulting image is very bright, which in turn aids focusing. With care, it is possible to obtain a very sharp image. This is also enhanced by the relatively wide field of view for a 10x (6.5 deg). The long eye-relief (17.2mm) means it is also suitable for spectacle wearers with no loss of field of view.Overall, these binoculars are to be recommended, especially for the price.

Great pair of Binoculars
I bought these for astronomy and are great quality for the price if a little on the heavy side.

a clear winner
A well built quality binocular, the image is sharp, clear and bright, they are comfortable to hold and should fit most people,They could be a little heavy for some at nearly 900g but I find the weight helps keep them steady. I wear glasses and these are fine to use with glasses, providing a full field of view. I own a pair of much more expensive 8x42 Leicas and the view really is about the same, the Nikons actually have a wider field of view and slightly less coulor fringing and a more 3d view! Now my go to binoculars, for birding.People say the Nikon is an entry level binocular for birding, but I have looked through and own Leica,Zeiss,Opticron, Swarovski etc and it really is up there with the best of them.

Utterly brilliant, the best binoculars I've ever owned or used.
I hesitated for weeks before buying, unsure about about paying this much. I have owned or borrowed many pairs of binoculars in my life, including well-known brands, and always been disappointed by mediocre performance. However, I use Nikon camera gear and and have come to know the high quality that comes with this name, so I took the plunge - and was not disappointed! These were a revelation - finally, I have the bright, clean, pin-sharp image I have dreamt of for DECADES.
