Q: Are the nuts and bolts supplied?

These Irwin clamps are similar to the British produced Record clamps but differ in one significant respect :- the supplied nuts and bolts are easy to lose . The older UK produced Record version of this clamp had a pin which was not easy to loose as it was on a chain . So yes , with the Irwin clamp the nut and bolt are supplied but you have to take care not to mislay them

Q: How big is the hole you need to drill?

The hole you drill in the wood needs to be big enough for the bolt that you will use. I used bolts that I happened to own: their size is not critical. Approx 1/4 to 3/8 from memory. The size of the hole in the clamp head determines the maximum diameter.

They are sold as a 1 set head and tail stock (i.e. Just 2 pieces in the pack, not 4).
