Great Starter Set
The media could not be loaded. Update: You do need to cure the gel polish. This is nice because it gives you time to be a bit slower with the stamp just don’t over scrape or it won’t be enough for the stamper to pick up. Also… again watch out because the gel can make a huge mess. 😅A lot of the reviews are frustrated with this set but I love it! The stamper is squishy and sticky which is a good sign. The plates are deep enough to get the design. There are TONS of designs for a variety of manicures. I may not use them all but you can’t beat the price of this set for what you get. The polish is kind of goopy and makes a mess but just use some acetone to clean it up. A little goes a long way. Not sure it it needs to be light cured. It says it does on the cap. watched a few Youtube videos on stamping before using this. Some tips to get the best out of these stamps…1. Prime your silicone stamp. If the stamper isn’t picking up the design well leave it over night on a paper. The excess oils will come out and let you pick up the designs.2. Go easy on the polish. You need enough to get all of the design but a small dot of the gel polish included works well. You may have to scrape it a few times to get the design saturated, but too much polish will also make the designs less sharp.3. Getting too many designs on the stampI saw on Youtube you can use a piece of tape to remove the parts of other designs or the parts of the design you don’t want that ended up on the stamp. It’s a great technique to have a more clean manicure.Again, this is an amazing set. Don’t be afraid of the bad reviews because it does take a bit of trial and error. I’ve only ever stamped once before and with a bit of background knowledge this time around the nails turned out great (minus me being too lazy to do my cuticles for a trial run of the stamps😅).

Fun but not as easy as it looks in the video!
This kit is a fun way to add design to your gel nails. The kit has many cute designs and great paint colors. The design plates are a bit overwhelming with all the different designs squished together. The transfer tool is see through so you can see where you are stamping your design on your nail. It would have been nice if there would have been more instruction on how they get ALL the extra paint off the plate before using the transfer tool so it doesn't turn out to be a mess on your nail. It would also be nice if they would talk about how they do multi-color designs. I guess that's what YouTube is for.

This kit is a great beginner kit!!!
This works wonderful!! It takes a few tries if you’ve never done it before and it Doesn’t come with directions so make sure you do your research. This is definitely a great beginner kit :)A little gel polish goes a long way! And with the stamper, it’s perfect. Wash the silicone with soap and water, let it air dry and you’re good to start stamping . Get yourself some tape and remove the design from the silicone when finished to avoid dust getting on the stamper. Use the tape not alcohol or nail polish remover to get the polish off the stamp it’ll ruin the stamper.. Acetone cleans the stamper plate well. Another suggestion is get yourself a photo album to keep the plates in to avoid scratching.

Very sharp; unsafe.
I bought these plates for my niece for Valentine’s Day. As we peeled off the blue protective coating, one of the plates cut me. Then she was trying to use her polish, but it wasn’t picking up the design at all. So she tried another polish. Again it didn’t work. So I told her we would go to the store tomorrow and buy different polish. I went to clean off the polish from the plate and then that plate also cut me even worse. I had to get a paper towel and apply pressure. These are NOT safe! I’m 41 and my niece is almost 12. I told her not to try using them again and apologized to her that she cannot use her gift. She said it was okay because she saw how bad my second cut was and doesn’t want to use them now. I told her I’m going to give a bad review which she also thought I needed to do as they are not safe. She said I should return them. Since I bought them 2-3 weeks ago as a gift for her, I do not know if I can. However I might try because this is ridiculous that they were so sharp that I cut myself in 2 different plates.(Just to also let you know I used to do my nails in my early to mid 30’s and I have bought plates like these before and I have never cut myself on any of those. I still have those, but I had wanted to buy gee some she could keep and take home with her. Most of the plates I bought back then were round. These are rectangular in shape).

Plates are good, stamper not so much
The stamp plates are wonderful. The images are clear and defined. The problem is the stamper. After one use, the pad developed a split. I didn't overuse it and apply too much pressure. It also wasn't there when I stored it. The next time I used it, the crack was there. I would recommend these plates, but get a different brand of stampers.

Very pigmented
There was a lot more product in the tubes than I expected so a little really does go a long way, the stencils also are heavier than expected but they also don’t scratch easily and are sturdy also like the color variety

Works great!! Easy to use
This totally met my expectations for the price. Super easy to use. My only complaint is the actual applicator doesn’t hold together well or clean easily thus the lowered rating
