Pleasantly surprised
Wicked jacket!I wanted an actual jacket, not a slim fit ladies poor excuse for a jacket with no functional pockets so went for a men’s.So happy I did!Pockets = very functional and decent size inside pocket as well.Heavy jacket, (I got the thicker one) and actually keeps me warm. This is a thick heavy coat.Seams, zippers, and buttons are great and sturdy.Very warm, I’m in very northern Canada and so far we’ve had -20C and it keeps me warm with a thin sweater underneath.Came packaged well, but smelled slightly of plastic or “new” smell. I sprayed with fabric febreeze and hung it outside for an hour and it almost went away. For my body type the sleeves are long, but I have short arms and legs - everything is long in the sleeves.I’m 190lbs, 5’3 curvy woman and went with the Heavy Large. I probably could go for a medium but I like the baggier fit on top with leggings on the bottom. With jacket unzipped it hits me about mid butt in the back. The hood is a big hood, which I’m stoked on.I’m extremely impressed for the price.Only con is the long sleeves but it’s not a deal breaker for me, kinda makes it look like the “boyfriend” fit.Made in China but doesn’t look or feel like it.

Do not get size based on height and weight alone
Let me start off by saying that this is a really nice jacket. The outer material is very soft for faux leather and the overall craftsmanship is very good. I do have a bit of a problem with the sizing however. Here's a bit of background for perspective. I'm 5 foot 11 inches tall, weight 180 pounds, have a short torso, long legs, and a 34 inch waist, all on what is considered to be a small to medium body frame. In other words, I'm fairly compact for my height and weight. This jacket in size large is way too big on me, though it fits most people of comparable height and weight just fine. For example, I have another coat that I typically layer a hoodie or sweater under, though it still fits well on its own. It is an American size small. This jacket can be worn over that coat and the layer under it while still allowing me to move effectively. The shoulders are too big causing the arms to hang lower and appear too long. The stretch band around the bottom of the jacket makes it want to sit at my waist, and combined with my short torso, causes the material in the midsection of the jacket to bunch up and puff out the back. Suffice it to say, this does not have the most "fitted" look on me.That being said, I have decided not to return the jacket. It fits great with layers under it, so I'm just going to use this one as an overcoat. I am going to get a second one in size small, and update this review accordingly. If you want a fitted look, go with the size you typically get, otherwise, if you want a looser look or just to be sure it wont be too small, go at least one size up. This should be taken with a grain of salt though, as someone with wide shoulders or a long torso might have to go at least one size up just to get a good fit. In short; take all of your body's dimensions into consideration, not just height and weight.Update: My size small version came in, and it fits me much better than the large. The arm length is almost perfect and the bottom of the jacket sits just below my belt line. The stomach, back, and shoulders are all a good fit, with not much extra material hanging around. I have found that this jacket does have a design flaw, which is also shared by most other leather jackets. There is little to no extra material in the arm pit area, causing the jacket to pull up if you raise your arms above chest level. This is very common in jackets such as this, so it isn't a big deal, at least not to me.Ultimately, this is a very nice jacket, but the sizing can definitely make or break how it looks on you. My final advice to anyone reading this is; do not lie to yourself about your body. If you are a small person and you know it, just go with the size you know fits you best. Likewise, if you are a big person and you know it, go a size up just to be safe. To sum up everything I wrote here in one sentence; I thought I was a medium, so I bought a large, but it turned out that I am a small, and needed a small all along. Take care.

Great price value
Very nice jacket. Proper size. Great price value as similar jackets cost 2X+ in stores.
