KalaKACG-ukulele, with mechanical detail, Gloss Finish

Kala KA-CG ukulele, this I think is the gloss version of the Kala KA, so for £20 more you get a lovely gloss finish and a rosette around the sound hole, it has Aquila strings fitted and nubone nut and saddle, the binding is a nice cream colour, inside the ukulele everything is neat and tidy, it is nicely balanced and there are no sharp fret edges, there is absolutely nothing to complain about, I love it.The photo on Amazon does not do this ukulele any justice, as soon as I unpacked it I just wanted to hold it and play it, it's very tactile and sounds great.I have a couple of Donner ukuleles (Tenor and Soprano) which are half the price or less than the Kala but the extra cost is worth it.The top back and sides are made of plywood but don't let that put you off, it is more robust than solid wood and i'd hazard a guess that most of us are not of a skill level where we need to worry about the esoterics of which hard wood gives the best sound for the size of ukulele and style of playing etc.Buy it, love it, Play it...................PS Amazon says "with mechanical detail" I have no idea what this means, but you will be buying a Kala KA-CG which is concert size

Fantastic instrument for the price. Added to my collection of six ukes.... I have two other KALA and they are superb build quality and very easy to play. This concert size is perfect for a beginner and we'll worth the investment. Lovely tone. Highly recommended.

Bought via my husband who is Amazon Prime member.This is a beautiful instrument and cheaper than the same thing with a satin finish.I am very pleased with the purchase.It is melodious and well made and holds its tuning well, needing tuning initially a few times,in the first few days, as you would expect.After that,it stays mainly in tune,as does the Kala soprano ukulele I bought in the first instance.I find it easier, as a beginner, to get my fingers round the frets in the larger concert model, but like them both.To be honest, I think this is superb value for money and cannot imagine that expensive ones, made by luthiers, would be any better for me,although I appreciate that for very musical buyers,this would be different.Thank you Amazon for great service.

Beautiful quality ukulele, got it as an upgrade to a cheap soprano, the photo on Amazon doesn't do it justice, much nicer, the goods gives it a beautiful finish, and to top it, great price, much cheaper than the non gloss KA-C.

As a starter ukulele this is great value for money. Surprised how well setup it was out of the box. Seems well finished. Would recommend at this price.
