Very clean modern look and white light, some installation notes
We are looking to modernize the look of the front of our house and these are a good step in that direction as a replacement for carriage lights on each side of the door. Item is very high quality feeling aluminum with a matte black finish and the adjustment of the beam angles is a nice touch. These are a cube just big enough to cover the electrical box so you might want to check and make sure you don't expose unpainted area or bad brickwork - these don't cover much!Note that these use the European wire color standard. Internet says green-yellow ground (clearly marked on the wire, a nice touch), brown is hot, and blue is neutral. I guessed wrong on the live-neutral before searching, but there is probably no consequence for switching the brown and blue as there is no touchable access to either and the alternating current doesn't care. The ground wire does actually connect to the body, I checked that with an ohm meter since I'm in the US and trust-but-verify yellow wires as ground. I really didn't trust the enclosed wiring quick connects, so I supplied wire nuts and stripped the wires a little longer. Can't say the quick connects are bad, just my opinion - they didn't inspire me with confidence as some other quick connects have.A couple of real negatives: As another reviewer mentioned, the mounting plates rubbed on one outer cover - in my case the minimal damage cannot be seen where I mounted them, but check this on arrival of the unit. There were no ground screws for the mounting plates - the tiny ground wire may protect you if the hot wire contacts somehow, but it's cheap insurance on a metal body light on your front porch to solidly ground. Probably also a code requirement if you are into that sort of thing (and you should be!) Ground screws are cheap if you don't have a couple lying around, but it could be a nuisance item to fetch.Overall, a very nice modern front porch light! I suspect you'll be as pleased with them as I am.

High quality lights perfect for your porch
We have a unique situation with a side door that is actually our front door. Our front are of the home is actually set up similar to a mobile home - but it's actually a cajun cottage from the 40s. I've wanted to build a porch, but that's low on the improvements list - so right now all we have are steps that lead directly into the house. This means your head is at the same height as the porch lights. If someone drives up and you look out and the porch lights are on - you are getting a faceful of lights. These outdoor wall lights are the PERFECT fix for my situation. They are well-made and well-thought-out. You have to manually adjust them -but that is fine. Once we get it right they are staying that way.

Maybe too bright
These were installed at our front entryway and I have them adjusted to the minimum light level and they’re still exceptionally bright. I was looking for a mellow level of lighting so this is a bit much. When opened to their maximum they nearly give you a sunburn. They’re not able to be ran on a dimmer so it is what it is. They look nice and none of the light is direct which is also another plus. I’m afraid if they were uncovered, people driving by our house would be blinded. I’m kind of worried about the insects it will undoubtedly attract in the summer months. They were easy to install as long as you’re familiar with a foreign wire color code. No biggie. Everything is included except junction boxes. Despite my complaints of brightness it is still a good purchase. Getting a small chunk of the sun for under $100 is really a bargain.
