This was an incredibly frustrating process, of getting this pump to work (hang with me).I connected this pump into a solar controller with a battery and solar panel. Everything was set right but the pump didn’t start.After some trial and error, figured out that the pump required more than a 10A controller. So, I tried it again with a 20A controller and it started right up.I was super confused though, as no water was pulling in or leaving the pump. Long story short, I didn’t notice the red cap inside the inlet and outlet. I removed the clear plastic ones covering the whole thing, but I didn’t think there would be another.After I removed those, the pump worked beautifully. It’s actually super powerful. I pull water from my rain barrel for my garden and it was able to fire more than halfway across my obnoxiously large garden.Simply put, this is a good pump

Using this pump as a pressure boost and reserve. Our park looses water and has low pressure often. I have water flowing into a tank and use this to suppliment the water supply and increase pressure. I use a solar panel and 12V battery to power the pump. We have had several outages this pump has helped us through. It also helps with volume and pressure for great showers.

fits in place of shurflo blaster and hooks up easily. use old blaster plate to install so don’t have to drill. has same rating as shurflo at 1/3 the price. hope it lasts the season!

Bought this pump as a spare. As a full time RV’er it’s always good to have a backup when out boondocking or pipes that freeze that supply water to your system.Didn’t think I needed it right away. Two months after purchasing this pump my original pump failed.I was referred to the Wassermann as a direct replacement for my Pentair. For some reason I thought that the 5 gpm would be better than the original 3 gpm which was around the same price.When my pump arrived I immediately noticed the motor was a 1” or more longer. Checked to make sure I had enough room and it looked good. Fittings were the same size and they also send a new screen filter and extra fittings and adapters. Not needed, but most manufacturers only send the pump. When I installed, except the motor was longer, everything was a good match. When I tested it, I noticed a flicker in my ceiling lights. Checked the difference in amps and found the Pentair 3 gpm had a maximum of 7.5 amp and the Wassermann 5 gpm had a 15 amp max. Oops, my bad. The gauge of the electrical wires were the same, but I guess the draw might be a little much for that circuit. So I’ll order the exact replacement and keep this one as a backup.Performance is good and noise is about the same as the Pentair

I installed the 5.0 gpm, 55 psi pump which was easy to replace (swap). It worked well and I was pleased with the water output compared to the original 3.5 gpm pump. However, after approximately two hours the pump blew the fuse. I removed and connected the pump to 12VDC power supply and the pump slowly began to function. After installing it again (hoping for better results) the pump failed again after a few moments. I connected to the 12 VDC power supply again and now it tries to turn over, but now it squeals.Lesson learned, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING RV RELATED UNTIL YOU NEED TO INSTALL IT. I purchased the pump in December, as my trailer was in storage. So, no returns or refund available.
