Daughter Loves it!
My 5yo daughter was SO excited and loves that it turns pink instead of red at night. I love that I don't have to turn it on night mode manually like other brands. Set it & forget it!

Broke in 1 hour
I wish I’d listened to all the bad reviews. Ugh! Worst $50 (for two) I’ve spent on my kids.First: simple setup & use. Great. The kids were IMMEDIATELY obsessed. Unicorns!!! But… one drop and the clocks & alarms reset. Fine. I decided to wait for bed to reset, as that was just a couple hours away.Y’all. Second drop and the horn & hair broke off! These are not tall children throwing the toys. These are short, little 2.5 year olds accidentally dropping them. What the heck? The slightest bump resets the system and an upside down bump breaks off the horn and hair? Wow.So, we do the whole thing and one kids room has a bald pony and the other has an intact unicorn. Well, come morning Baldy doesn’t turn green. It wouldn’t have been a big deal except Miss Perfect DOES turn green, and that sets off toddler in Baldy’s room to a fit about a sleeping unicorn before mama’s had coffee. I check and all settings are fine. Except… kid has access to buttons and clicked the on/off switch. That’s all it took to turn it off. One button depress (or an insane number of button presses, as long as it was an odd number, I guess). All around, poor design. Unfortunately, my kids are emotionally bonded to these infuriating lumps of useless plastic. I’m praying they finish breaking beyond use before the return window closes so I’m not the bad guy. They’re literally carrying these stupid thing EVERYWHERE. I can’t even sneak them away to take out batteries and pretend they broke. They’ve been in my house less than 24 hours and I want them out.Honestly, I just wanted to know if the color thing would work without spending $100/kid. I guess I should have tried with something less anthropomorphic.

The projection does not stay on
My husband and I got this to help train our three year old. She wakes up once a night and usually comes to our room. This has been great because the two colors are different and therefore very easy to tell apart. The face also “wakes” and “sleeps” so even though there is a clock, my child who can’t tell time, can easily see and remember when the unicorn is awake or asleep, and has started coordinating the colors with those as well. The projection light is cute, but it only stays on for about 30 seconds and then you have to press the button again. I wish it had an option for a longer time (such as 15 or 30 minutes) so it would be a bit of a night light and turn off when my daughter is asleep. Not the end of the world though, we still like the clock overall!

Worked well for a month
Well...I wanted to love it. I wanted to believe my experience would be different than the countless other reviewers...alas...The clock was easy enough to set up. If you red the instructions, you are able to change the amount of time the night-light stars shine on the ceiling, but this is not a setting that can be saved, nor is it something that works while parent control is on. So we just dealt with it shinning for only a minute. The clock is super bright! We kinda wanted a night light anyways, but man...it's really bright.Now..we had it all set up and it was working fine. Until one day after a month had passed (now no longer eligible for a return..). The first thing to break was the night/day setting. So the unicorn would change to her awake face, but not change colors, and randomly set a new time to "wake-up." Imagine our two year old's elation when at 2:30am her clock told her she could get out of bed...thanks for that...The next thing to break was the time screen all together, making it impossible to re-set the time back to its original settings. And the final thing to break was the timer aspect of the star ceiling lights. So now it's just a super bright pink light in her room that doesn't ever change and doesn't even tell a readable time.-1 star

It's cute but not what I expected.
This is super cute and all but it doesn't really do anything. I thought there would be some sort of alarm to get kids used to waking up. It does not. All that it does is close its eyes at bed time and opens them at wake up time. Maybe good for little little kids. The ones who you tell "if the eyes are open, you can come out and wake up"My 5 year old needs an alarm.

Good idea but meh
It doesn’t always change to the correct colors for sleep and wake, so my daughter insisted it was time to wake up at midnight because the clock told her it was daytime. I would say it HAS to be plugged in because the ceiling display only appears for maybe a minute when you use batteries and it runs through batteries like a pie-eating champ eats pies. But it’s cute, and a good idea, if it would work 100%
