We used these to stir the thick meat sauce at our school's crab feed and they worked great. Very sturdy yet easy to grip. They are also long enough (36" version) to easily stir sauce in 60 Quart pots without having to stand on a stool or chair. They have a nice coating that made them easy to clean and dry. Highly recommend.

This stir paddle is super heavy duty. I had my doubts when I bought it but it's capable of anything food related and probably could be used as a pry bar in a construction application. It's pretty sweet.

I got this to stir shrimp boils in an 8 gal pot. My normal kitchen spoons don't cut it. Well, this thing is HUGE! You could paddle a canoe with it. Probably great it you want to stir a 55 gal drum but way over kill for my needs. But it's nicely made & looks great. So, until I need it, it's a decoration espousing my lofty ideals.
