No, there was no user manual included!!!

Q: What is the difference between the cat and the cat ex?

From my limited research the EX is supposed to exert more force, which seems useful for lower portions of the spine where appropriate. The EX has a threaded collar that changes the intensity which isn’t marked. It is easy to use. My hands are large. My wife’s hands are small to medium and she uses two hands to work it.
