The Waterman Hemisphere range are reliable and solidly built (I use both the roller ball and the fountain pen variants). The fact that the main body of the pen is a sturdy metal adds much needed weight and also means that you don't necessarily need the lid on rear of the pen to balance out the weight. It's construction also means that it doesn't show wear and tear as easily as other pens do.As other customers have pointed out - the pen does take a while to get flowing if it hasn't been used in a while. I use this pen with red ink for my marking and, when it is in full flow, it is a pleasant pen to write with and my standard everyday pen.To any would-be purchasers out there - This is a great entry level pen that will suit anyone who wants something a bit more special to work with or who wants to buy it for someone as a present. Amazon's price point is really good and is a good way to start a collection of pens from a very well-respected brand.

The product build and construction is perfect, the metal and lacquer is beautifully done!The ink and nib glides on the paper, dispensing ink at the slightest pressure. Great control!

I do not understand why the seller will ship something fairly expensive overseas in a paper bag. The pen arrived in a broken Waterman box and I couldn't even get the pen out. Not usable as a gift.

Sinceramente esperaba algo mejor.La pluma está bonits y pinta bien pero el color es negro mate y hace que parezca una pluma corriente. En las fotos es color negro gloss.Tenía una franclin covey que me constó $500 mxn y se ve más fina que esta, sin embargo esta pinta mejor.
