I love that the charger is lightweight and is working like a charm. I bought this to replace my original adapter that had stopped working, so it was a relief to me that this one works well with the model I have. The cord is on the shorter side but it's long enough to get the job done. I'm thankful they had one for my computer and as such a good price.

I researched this and found this Hercules charger to be the best alternative to factory (HP) charger.HP was 3 time the price, I can't tell the difference.

This fits perfectly in my HP Pavillion laptop, which is about 9 years old.

Very well packaged tied up nice opened it up put it together and plug it into my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop 16 and a half inch screen. Within 20 minutes this charging unit got so hot that I had to unplug it. It's rated at 65 Watts output where some areas rated as high as 99 watts for the same laptop. I'm not sure the specifications listed on the item description is correct for that laptop even though it says on the related laptop models. Secondly most of this junk is made in China and the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Having said that you kind of get what you pay for. Do I keep it plugged in or do I melt everything. Not too happy!

Cannot complain about the units performance, it does charge the battery and run the Laptop. However I'm not expecting it to last very long. It gets way to hot, so hot that the stick on label has already peeled up and fallen off. For the price, its good as a backup, but I just ordered a different one to replace it. It gets hot enough that you cannot comfortably hold it in your hand.
