Dragonlance Chronicles : Dragons of Autumn Twilight', 'Dragons of Winter Night' and 'Dragons of Spring Dawning Paperback – January 1, 1988

Came very quickly and in wonderful condition. I was expecting more on the lettering, but still love the cover and book. Great story and character universe from two incredibly talented writers. Very happy.

I've loved this series for 40 years, and the originals are falling apart from multiple re-reads. This is a great way to retire them and I love the forward by Joe Manganiello. It gives me hope that someday we will get a high quality Dragonlance movie or series! The original interior art has been retained too which always was awesome to begin with! 100% worth it.And if you are a new reader unfamiliar with this story, it's one of the best fantasy series of all time, having spawned a minor industry of it's own. The authors create truly inspirational and compelling stories with characters that are amazingly vivid. Trust me. It's worth it! You WILL want it on your shelf. Just get it.Note about Quality: Mine arrived undamaged with a few cover smudges. Since I'm not completely helpless I took a slightly damped cloth and wiped them off. Problem fixed. Obviously some other reports of shipping/water damage can't be so easily fixed, but mine was in good condition.

I first read this series in 1989, not too long after the Chronicles were collected in the paperback format. I've read that collection many, many times. My copy is worn, the cover has been torn off, it was well loved and read. I found myself wanting to read it again a few months ago and discovered a new collection was being released in hardback format. I preordered it right away and I got my copy today. It looks fantastic!Other than the foreword and copyright pages in the front, the pages look identical to my almost 40 year old copy. The two pages I photographed show the same artwork and even page number. It seems this has been printed from the same file, which is fine by me.Incidentally, the cover price in 1988 was $12.95, which is about $32.96 in 2025 dollars. So for another $.080 cents in 1988 dollars, I'm getting a hardcover version! Except of course, I preordered so I'm really getting a great deal.If you've never read any DragonLance novels, this is where to start. If you have read them, you won't regret adding this to your collection.I'm hoping for a similar release for the DragonLance Legends series. If this gets enough sales, I'm certain they'll release that one as well.

Finally!!!! I have been searching and searching for a good/great fantasy action adventure book. After many attempts I finally found it… Dragonlance! I know this book has been around for a while, but I just found out about it recently. Glad I did! The writing is great and flows very well. The dialogue among the characters is great as well as the character development. If you are a D&D fan or just like a good adventure book, this one should be on your short list. Give it a try!

What an awesome edition of an all time great trilogy. Its a beautiful and simple hardcover.

The most classic in the series is an important staple for those interested in Dragonlance and what it's really about. Side note, bizarre name drop intro from Joe Manganiello that doesn't get into the series or the characters or the overall impression other than it focuses more on the fact that he's been championing to get this series made either as a feature or tv series, which in his defense, is a noble pursuit in a town riddled with only interest in past IPs and remaking some other classic childhood film into a less polished, less character focused piece of streaming fodder, I hope his efforts of swinging that axe pay off with tremendous waves. But honestly, the books speak for themselves and their impressions run deep. For me in all the Dragonlance lore, I find myself keep coming back to the dark history of Lord Soth. Check this book out, if you love D&D and Lord of the Rings this is a must for you.

This review is really about the 40th anniversary printing quality. I love Dragonlance, it was some of the earliest fantasy fiction I read as a kid. However, Wizards of the Coast seems to have gone the cheap route for this 40th anniversary edition. I've included images of the warped cover, cracked page binding, and what look like glue spots on the back cover of the copy I received.Also, the paper is thin and the pages are rippled. The binding seems unstable and the spine feels weak. In all, it seems like the book spent months in terrible conditions.The beloved Dragonlance Chronicles trilogy deserves much better. I've asked for a replacement copy from Amazon. If I receive a better quality copy, I'll update this review and improve the rating. But where WotC is involved, I'm not holding my breath...Update: Amazon sent me a new copy the day after I submitted a request for a replacement. The new copy had some smudges (which I was able to wipe off) but was otherwise in good shape. So folks, there are indeed good copies to be had out there!

I have been a Dragonlance fan since I was a kid. Seeing this anniversary edition was so exciting and I grabbed it. Its a very nice cover and well done. If you are a Dragonlance fan grab this book! And if you are new to Dragonalance, welcome, you will love it. This has all 3 or the original books in it so you have everything you need.
