Disappointing
Small pieces only, looks like that they packed left overs from the product

Good but variable sizes, and seem to burn well.
First time I've bought lumpwood charcoal for our Kamado Joe.First bag seems okay, some large palm sized chunks (10-15cm lengths by 5-7cm) but probably more of the smaller pieces (say 5-8 cm long, fat shard like) and smaller. But they seems to burn really well, right down to ash. Not sure if they burn too quickly, don't know how to tell until I get other brands. They don't appear to have any chemical smells and don't appear to impart flavour into the food.Got two more bags to go through, hopefully the quality is the same or better, happy so far.I don't think they are much cheaper than getting Big K brand from The Range but then the latter might have been on sale.

and i like it like that
This stuff really is high quality. the lumps are a mix of huge, big, medium and small, theres no one size, and i like it like that, seems to work well in barbecue situationsthe only reason i give it a 4/5 is because it seems to need to burn in high heat to get to a point where it maintains itself - for a normal barbecue situation this is the case and it works great. sometimes i need a bit of coal for the shisha pipe. This stuff always goes out by itself in that situation and doesn't work.if this review helped please hit the yes but bellow :)

Industrial sized bag of charcoal
Just arrived yesterday, unpacked and used for grilling last night. Just using the coals from the top of the bag of course, but so far fairly good size not too small as yet, lit well and quickly, very good heat distribution and long burning. If this is the case for all will be buying again.

Excellent Charcoal
I've bought several bags of this coal and really like cooking with it. It lights well, doesn't smoke to much and burns cleanly. The bags have always been nicely graded with little in the way of small bits and dust.Cooking with it is a pleasure as it gives off a predicable amount of heat and as it burns do cleanly, you can add coal in small quantities while you're cooking to keep the heat going. It burns away to basically nothing with only a small amount of fine ash left over that's easily cleaned up.Definitely recommend to my friends!

Good price and seems generally good value, although lots of small pieces
Only one use so far but some good sized pieces the size of my palm. I was prettt pleased when I opened one of the bags and saw some good sized chunks. Should make it better when I smoke my next brisket. I'll post an update once in further down the bag but so far so good.Update: the further down the bag the smaller the pieces got until they're really unusable, they burn out so quickly that you can't keep an even temperature when cooking.

Really good charcoal
Very good value for money, but beware the delivery is HEAVY!The sacks contain lots of large chunks. The charcoal itself is very good quality, very hard and light. I used it for a low and slow 7 hour cook and there was loads of heat left for some baked spuds. The heat is controllable too, much easier than with charcoal briquettes. The lump wood burned right down to ash, denoting good quality.I'd recommend this charcoal. And it's great value especially compared to the rubbish lumpwoo sold in most high street sheds or garden centres.

A perfect balance of flavour, burn time and value.
I was skeptical because of the low price and previously using highly artisanal lump wood charcoal which was much more expensive. Whilst the more expensive wood I had did have the slight edge on flavour, this lump wood burns slower and is more consistent which is great. I'm a good way through this bag and so far it's been all good sized large pieces, intact too large for my little webber kettle (junior) and I've had to break some pieces up so this would be especially good for a pizza oven or a large barbecue / pit.I want to add that whilst I've used lump wood with better flavour it really is a case of diminishing returns, I spent several times the amount per kilo as this wood, and would only say it was 5% better. This represents excellent value.
