Great fit! Lightweight and strong!
This would definitely protect your pet in case of an attack from a wild animal or bird like a hawk eagle owl. It's lightweight very strong very well built very easy to make it Contour to your dog's body. I recommend getting the extension for the rear end.

I don't understand why this would get one star
So, we have a small Malshi dog, 10 pimps that thinks it's 100 pounds. It wants to play but we worry around big dogs. I bought this and it is great. It's made really well and it is strong. My wife, who overly worries about something being too much for our dog, was immediately like this is great its so light , surprisingly light, compared to the way it looks.Sure something may happen to it, that's no surprise to us, but it's made well. So, I always read the one stars but what I look for is a repeated issue and discard all those ones that say I threw it on my fireplace and it burned. The only issue I have is I wish they offered a neck protector without the spikes. ( it's detachable so not that big of a deal) it would be great if they offered both with and without the spoles. which I am going to write to them and ask if they have one without them If not I'm grinding down the spikes not to hurt other dogs. Otherwise this is more than worth the money and fits my 10 pound dog great and will protect her.

Update after using for 5 months, 3 issues
The media could not be loaded. ***Update, just a couple issues...1) The velcro has stop sticking after 4 1/2 mos. of pretty frequent use (5x a week). I can still use the vest with the buckles only, but they keep coming loose. Then yesterday she ran back to me and the vest was gone. Also, there is a possibility that the vest has gotten her caught in shrubs or branches because she was missing for over an hour before returning without the vest. And one time before this, she came back with her two front legs through the neck opening, as if she really struggled to get out of the vest, then freed herself from wherever she was trapped. She normally returns when she hears my whistle, she does not go missing for extended periods which happened these 2 times with signs the vest was the cause. 2) The spikes sliced the tip of my other dog's ear when he shakes his head (when exiting the water, etc.), luckily, the spikes are removable so I took away 2 that were cutting him. It took me awhile to figure this out. He constantly had a bloody ear. No problems for my other dog, as she has shorter ears. 3) The spikes should be checked periodically, as the do fall out over time - they screw on.Original review:I like that the product seems impenetrable, but there’s no way to know how it would perform under a real attack There is no protection for the underbelly if the dog should get put in its back. Also, sometimes the dogs try to scratch their backs and it isn’t always easy for them to flip back over (kind of like a turtle shell), so they are not quite as nimble in it. So the pro is protection, the con is less mobility, speed and agility. But, it may discourage a coyote if it doesn’t easily succeed with the first attack.Keep in mind, it may take some time for your pet to get used to the vest. My dog froze like a statue and wouldn’t move at first and he thinks he can’t jump into the car with it on, so now I have to lift him in. I had them wear them for short periods of time on short leashed walks to get used to them. You can see in the video I posted that once they are out and engaged, they forget they have them on.One thing that is cumbersome are the buckles. They are time consuming to put on and take off because the Velcro keeps sticking to itself while trying to pull the straps through. Snap in buckles would have been preferable. Also, my one dog has very little hair and the chest strap leaves chafe marks in him.Overall, I like the product and since my dogs take off way out into the woods I feel better about it. Luckily they have not been put to the ultimate test. My dogs are in their vests daily for about 2 1/2 hours, they get very wet and muddy, so next I will see about laundering them. They get smelly. My dogs both wear the large. They are 18 & 21 lbs. The medium fit around my thinner dog, but was too short to protect from an attack from behind.

Great fit! Best protection vest on the market in my opinion.

Weak spot
I really liked this vest until today while walking my dog the ring that holds the leash came unsewn. My dog was then off leash and luckily no coyote or dogs came by.The vest seems sturdy enough except for that part.I only had it about a month, just long enough to be past the return window. Therefore, we are forced to try to repair it yourself.

Too short
Great concept but there is no protection toward the hip area the attachment is too short.

NiCely made sturdy. Love removable collar section
Solid would definitely work. Like removable neck band so I can walk two dogs and not worry about them getting stuck by prong on that Section. I would watch for overheating as vest does block airflow.
