I've never been a fan of "Liquid Smoke" and their competitors--I always thought they had a chemical taste that didn't acccurately mimic truly "smoked" food. This salt is *such* a superior alternative--the smokiness you experience from just opening the packet is 10x more authentic than other types of smoke additives. I am using it on so many dishes that my only complaint is that there isn't a larger package available--though to be fair, a little goes a long way!

I only use Redman salt and I am pleasantly surprised by these smoky versions. The quality of the salt, mineral content, and flavor are all top-notch on a nice 8 pound brisket.

This stuff has a very strong smoke flavor that goes on many of my meats for extra umph. Quite enjoyable

Reading some of the other reviews, I was surprised to see a few negative comments about the Redmund's smoked flavour. My husband is on the carnivore diet and has tried multiple smoked salts over the last few years and says hands down, this is the best flavoured smoked salt he has ever tried. The smoke flavour is strong and smooth and he would buy it again in a heartbeat. It's a great addition to any recipe. He researches everything and what he has found regardless of smoke flavour, is that redmunds real salt is one of the very best for being natural and consistent. The smoke flavour (chef's blend) just happens to be a really flavourful, amazing bonus to their product lineup. (*We are NOT sponsored by Redmund's Real Salt - we just really love the product). (Just throwing it out there, but I'm wondering if anyone not fully experiencing the smoked flavour might have loss of taste from a Covid experience and thinking it's the product?) The only reason, I gave a 4 star on value is because everything is overpriced regardless of the brand anymore.

Wont' go back to regular salt again! Had the cherry before, but like this one even more!

This smoked sea salt is amazing on fish and steak. After discovering Amazon carried this salt, I use no other.
