Very pleased with this machine
Very pleased with this machine. It runs faster than other brands and easily passes the "mint sauce test" ie. it chops up fresh mint leaves finely, which other choppers didn't. Another plus is the ease with which it takes apart for washing and reassembly. It's a bit more expensive than other brands but the extra is worth it , in my book

Just like a German car, the engine will last for ever but the other bits will fall apart
Just like a reasonably priced German car, the engine will last for ever but the other bits will fall apart after 10 years.I've had an earlier model for 12 years now, the motor is still going strong but all the other bits have started to break. Which isn't bad going as we really put it through its paces. I bought this as incredibly, it's cheaper to buy the whole set again than it is to replace a few accessories.The only thing I'll say, although being 50W less powerful, I still prefer using the older motor as it has a fully variable speed control, whereas this has 2 modes: Fast, or too Fast. Shame really. You do really need a slow speed sometimes, unless you amuse yourself by splashing liquids all over your kitchen.Oh, one more thing, this supplier sends it with a European plug, but if you complain to Amazon you get a slight refund and a Euro-UK plug adapter costs about £2.

Two pin plug only attached to this item
Be careful if you order this because it only has a two pin Euro/shaver plug on it which means you need to buy another item to plug it into a UK three pin socket.

Watch out - euro plug
Does the main thing really well (blending) just like our old Braun which lasted aeons. As good as the bosch we tested which went back for being faulty, and a gazillion times better than the hotpoint 3-in-1 which was pathetic.It has lost 1 star for the euro plug, seriously Amazon!?
