Excellent 3000 grit stone
I bought this Naniwa Chosera stone as I've seen many excellent reviews and videos on YouTube which show it to be a highly regarded. I bought it as the highest stone in my beginner's system as recommended on Dutch Bushcrafters Knifes channel. They recommend a 400 grit stone for profiling, a 1,000 and then this 3,000 grit for final polishing and refining. I tested this stone on a carbon steel kitchen knife that had been through another sharpening system I own. As it was already sharp(ish) I used the 1,000 and this 3,000. I found it quite easy to keep the knife at the appropriate angel and the stones were easy to use and clean. After only 5 minutes on each stone, then a strop, my kitchen knife was literally razor sharp, with a mirror edge. The bevel was not entirely even but that was my inexperience showing. To sum up, this stone is excellent, does what it's expected to namely to produce razor sharp, polished edges easily and quickly. I have used other cheaper stones and this is like night and day. Naniwa have changed over to production of the Professional line, where stones are not on the plastic rest. That's a shame in my opinion, so buy Chosera while you can. The nagura stone seemed to work well when I used it, producing a white slurry and cleaning off some of the metal marks on the stone. Very happy with this and I look forward to improving my technique.

Perfect
I get all the mirror shove I need with these stone. I use chosera 400, 800 and 3000 and my chef knives are razor sharpe with mirror finish. Not an 8000 or 12000 mirror but I don’t need that. Haven’t had this long but it’s performed great, highly reccomend

Worth to have if you're a chef that sharp your knife everyday.
I havevto admid that this stone is one of the best stone in the market! You can have just only this stone and still bring your dull knife back to a razor sharp in 5 minutes. Totally worth it!

Unlike the 800 grit stone (which is a fantastic stone) this one (3000 grit) developed quite a few hairline cracks within 2 weeks of use. For such an expensive stone I am very disappointed in this one, maybe they have used a different bonding agent to the other chosera stones, I made sure I didn't over soak stone, and let drain/dry in normally accepted way. Search the web, you will find a few posts of others with same issue with this grit chosera.
