I have owned more expensive Petzl headlamps in the past and they have definitely outlasted the competition. I bought this one because I liked the easily exchangeable battery, as I use these things for hours at a time.Unfortunately, on this model the battery wants to pop out of the casing when installed. You have to press it in with the rear housing and then quickly clasp it closed. This has caused the battery to have connection issues while using the light, which causes the light to blink or show a dead battery prematurely. Once reopened and reset, the light goes back to normal for a short period of time before blinking again.This is truly unfortunate because this could be a super simple, cheap light with great water resistance.

Ehrlich gesagt konnte ich es erst gar nicht glauben! An diesem Gerät gibt es keine Ladebuchse für den Akku! Die Ladebuchse ist nur direkt an dem mitgelieferten Akku. Das bedeutet: Jedesmal, wenn der Akku leer ist, hat man das Gefummle mit dem Akkufach. Lampe aus der Halterung schwenken, Akkufach öffnen (alles andere als schnell und einfach), Akku entnehmen und dann laden. Was ist denn dann noch der Sinn des (teuren) mitgelieferten Akkus? Wenn ich das gewusst hätte, hätte ich selbstverständlich das Ding ohne Akku gekauft und mir 2Sätze von AAA Akkus besorgt. Das ist billiger, und ich kann einfach die Akkus tauschen. Noch besser, ich hätte mir ein anderes Gerät mit externer Ladebuchse gekauft und keine blöde Fummelei.Auch die Leuchtleistung entspricht leider nicht meinen Vorstellungen. Die Leistung der Weitwinkellampe reicht vielleicht gerademal zum Buch lesen, aber sicher nicht im Gelände. Alles im allem eine konstruktive Fehlleistung mit viel zu hohem Preis.

I have great respect for Petzl and I am the proud owner of two Petzl Pro Pixa 3 ATEX headlamps. These have been my mainstay during my work has a heating engineer. I work in confined, cramped and dark spaces and have always found these headlamps to be faultless.Petzl introduced a new lamp and I discovered the Petzl Aria 2r. This seemed like a natural addition to my tried and trusted Pixa 3 ATEX and a great addition to my tool kit. That was until I opened the packaging. The lamp is definitely lighter and more compact but a nightmare to work with. Insert a rechargeable battery and good luck in keeping the battery compartment closed. Tilt the head torch whilst on your head and you run the risk of the compartment opening and the light subsequently failing. The whole feel of the torch is very fragile and nothing really feels secure. The torch had even become detached somehow from its friction fixings, leaving me trying to re attach at a most in opportune moment.Its a great design, and a triumph of making something compact and light, but don't expect a robust easy ride when using it in the field.

Elle n a jamais dépassé 20 cm de profondeur,complètement morte au bout de la première utilisation en milieux maritime,comment peut on certifier du matériel qui n a même pas de joint pour le compartiment d alimentation,une pure arnaque.

Aber um die Lampe zu verstellen muss man von oben nach unten klappen, das geht ein wenig schwierig da sollte man sich was überlegen ob das nicht besser zu lösen wäre.Der Aku bleibt auch nicht im Fach stecken sondern er dreht sich von alleine raus wenn der Deckel weg ist, bzw. der Aku schafft es auch den Deckel ein paar mm zu öffnen, dann muss man den Deckel wieder an drücken.
