Just like the dell charger - for half the price.
I went on the Dell website to buy a new charger for my Alienware R2 and they were trying to make me pay over $100.... I’ve purchased two of these since then and they’ve lasted me forever while my original Dell charger broke after just a year of owning. Just be careful about bending the cord where you plug it into the laptop because it will become loose (just like any other laptop charger). It’s definitely worth the money and my games run well with this plugged in.

I bought a third party power brick with the same specs, but when drawing full power at the 180w rating, it drops voltage, effectively ceasing to work.This power adapter doesnt suffer from the same issues and works well with my WD19TBS dock (so far)

Good value, charges well, but is not entirely compatible with my computer
Bought this for my Alienware M15. It came without any damages and was a good value. It charges my computer well and I have no complaints. It is mostly compatible with my computer, but next time I will need to purchase a higher wattage charger to better support, as it charges slow.

I was worried reading some of the other reviews here. I went into this fully expecting a cheap, Chinese knock off. I'm happy though.Full story:I bought an Alienware 15 R4 recently. I work away from home all week, and have a home office/man cave for when I come home. I did not want to continually set my power cord up at my desk, so I wanted a second charger. Now, Dell.com had a charger but it was over $120.00. I wasn't going to pay that. So checked and found this one was 50% of the price.Again, I expected a cheap knock off, but as long as it charges my laptop without blowing it up, I'd be fine. I'm not packing this cord up, it's neatly mounted to my desk.When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The charger feels just like my Dell one. Still has an LED on it. The plastic feels the same. The charger says it's made my Dell, could be fake, honestly I don't know.What I do know, the charger works for what I want. If I did not mount it to my desk, I'd quickly forget which was the charger that came with my laptop.Bottom line, for 50% off the dell.com price, worth it. I might even by another
