Beautiful, sturdy kitchen
First of all I love this kitchen and so do my grandkids. It is very sturdy, thick durable wood, and very nice latches so that when you close the doors it latches tightly shut. There is tons of cubbies and cupboards and so much storage for all of the pretend food, appliances and whatever else kids want to add to it. It comes with some cooking utensils and pans and the stove requires batteries and the burners light up.The “not so positive” .... this took a full 8 hours to assemble and it was done by my husband who is a Union Journeyman Carpenter. The instructions that came with it were terrible and not clear at all.We set out every piece and put them in number order before we even started. It took both of us working non stop to get this done. There are about 200 pieces... all but 5 of them were numbered, but we were able to figure out where they went. Also, there are dozens of small wooden dowels that go into holes for stronger support and we used wood glue to put those in.I suggest very strongly to choose a large spot for assembly, put everything in number order and have wood glue, screw gun, or screwdrivers handy... and most of all... a lot of patience!!!Also**** this kitchen is perfect size for big/tall kids! Ages 7/8 still great!

Took A Little Effort, But Worth It!
I don't generally write reviews, but this play kitchen is simply great and my granddaughter loves it. The instructions are a bit cryptic but once you figure out how to interpret them it's fairly easy. I recommend starting with the refrigerator because it is stand alone and relatively straight forward. You need to review the plans carefully, particularly the sheet with the items that need to be prepped before installing and take your time. The product is well engineered and fits together almost perfectly. It made of wood and uses dowels and screws to make a very sturdy and attractive "kitchen". Note that it takes at least two people to put together.

Kitchen Play For Hours!
I could go on and on about the playtime pleasure. My granddaughter has with this play set kitchen. I agree with other reviewers the assembly takes a little bit of time but well worth it. I found getting organized before beginning to put it together was very helpful. Additionally, having a few tools nearby to open up a hole or ensure the placement of a screw is handy.I purchased a small accessory basket of pretend food, but that is not necessary to enjoy the play kitchen. One thing about this play kitchen that others do not have is the ability to have children access all sides of the playset. It can be an expensive place at but the quality of the put together is long lasting, and if you have time, watch for discounts or percentage off sales. I was able to get mine for 50% off over black Friday.

Beautiful but complicated assembly and 1 broken part
This is just as pictured and most of the parts are quality. The finish is nice and looks like real counter top. The only thing that could be improved is the oven doesn’t look like an oven. I have purchased some motion red lights and decals for it to make it look more like an oven. It opens to the side like a cabinet so maybe it’s an oven less kitchen. Although overall the piece is gorgeous and looks and feels like a real kitchen, the handles however are plastic and this one came cracked on the inside. It truly does take 6+ hours for one person to put together as there over 122 parts (given some come in multiples), over 150 wood dowls, over 300 screws and multiple other attachments to parts. The time totally worth it but be prepared and it is all pictures with no wording so pay attention to orientation of pieces. All and all it comes close to 5 stars but one handle was broken. I’ll see if company sends one, if not then I’ll go buy something to match at the hardware store.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! PLEASE READ!!!
This is horrible and I mean that with every bit of my soul. In 3 hours we only made it through part of the first side. It isn't wood it is pressboard which shouldn't be counted as wood. 1/3 of the pieces were cracked or broken, the instructions are horrible. Vague grayscale photos with only some parts labeled. Nothing fits together easily and requires a lot of finessing. This was the worst investment I've ever made. Get the plastic one! The best part is that a lot of this could have been assembled already by the manufacturer. Instead I'm building draws essentially from scratch.I didn't read the reviews I just thought I was going to be the world's best mom for getting a big walk in kitchen for the same price as a plastic one that was 1/3 the size. It's cheap for this size because it isn't wood, and no one in their right mind would submit themselves to the nightmare this is to build. They have to make it cheaper just to sell the thing.

Missing and broken parts
This is a nice and beautiful kitchen, however after 10 hours of putting it together we had a broken cabinet hinge, so our kitchen is missing a cabinet door, as I opened the stove top to put batteries it was also missing the battery cover so I have tape over it, as well as the hole to set the stove top in, is an inch or more to big each way, so it just slides all around.... when I contacted amazon a partial refund was the only offer they don't know if I can get parts so I am calling the step 2 number now..... however amazon did offer me to take my 10 hours of work apart and return it to get another or a refund..... I do like the looks and how sturdy this kitchen is
